Check in was very fast. Most helpful employees. House keeping requests were promptly delivered. Beds were very comfy. Cleaners were fantastic. Rooms were a little small but comfortable. Bathrooms were very cramped with the door in an odd angle. The Rawdah is quite a walking distance from the hotel. Triple room - 9th floor - Madinah Tower

Stayed here for 4 nights. The staff needs a lot of training. Only the foreign staff knows what it's doing. At one point the Pakistani bellboy was telling the receptionist how to check us in. Location is ideal but Dar ut Taqwa is still better. Breakfast is simple par excellence. Best ever. Rooms are quite dingy. If I couldn't find any room at the Dar it Taqwa, Hilton or Oberoi, I would stay here. Actually that was the case with me this time. Good but not good enough.

We stayed just after the Hajj period of 2012 - a great location and view from the 12th floor. You can see the mosque and traffic flow to know when to go in etc...
The entrance is close to the sisters so easy for me.
They also have a shopping mall but only one cafe - however food is easily found in Madinah and also great for shopping.
The service was also good - we asked for some help for visiting local attractions which the staff gladly helped us with - even with transport arrangements.
The room was of a good size - twin beds, t.v., bathroom with tub and shower facilities, good storage, but no tea/coffee facilities - had to ask a few times before they allowed us one - this was because we had a suite but not allowed to use the kitchen (not hotel's fault - our package organisers) We also had to share iron and board with two other rooms.
We ordered room service twice - good food but problems delivering and picking up.

Movenpick is located in a very good position. Right outside the rear entrance of Masjid Nabawi. Ideal for sisters as it is near their entrance. The reception area looks nice and is comfortable. The hotel is situated on top of a shopping complex which s useful. The general design of the building is good.

The negative side – which can be very frustrating – is that the reception staffs have very poor customer service. They come across as arrogant and rude. We had a group booking and none of the rooms where available. We had to wait 4 hours to get the first set of rooms (1 hour was justifiable as we got to the hotel an hour before the check in time. However, the additional three hour wait was unjustifiable). That was after a whole debate that we don’t have any rooms booked. Which changed to you do have rooms booked but other guests are in there. Thus you have to wait till they leave or go somewhere else. Very poor service for a hotel that is meant to be 5 star.

The rooms are fine but they are not 5 star standard. We stayed in Makkah Hilton Towers which is a 4 star hotel. That hotel was better than Medina’s 5 star Movenpick. Again the rooms where not bad – just not a 5 star standard

The sad thing is that due to the ideal location of the hotel. They can get away with the poor service as they know they will get booked one way or the other.

Travelled here twice, both times were wonderful. Once was with a group of 8, and the second and most recent was with a group of about 40. Very accommodating, they have EVERYTHING. Even though the purpose here is to spend as much time as possible at Masjid ul Nabi (which was RIGHT there walking distance) I know people complained about smell in some rooms but the staff was very helpful in fixing any issues that were brought up. There is free wifi, a kitchenette, spacious enough bathroom, and the beds are comfortable too. There is a grocery store and shopping mall inside the hotel, the shops inside are pricey so i would recommend walking around outside along the other hotels if you want to shop. There are also plenty of places to eat close by. Overall it was absolutely great, even with a group as large as ours, the staff made it so we all had rooms next to each other. They do separate people by ethnicity though.

We stayed here just a night. The check in and out process was easy and the front desk staff polite. Not all the front desk staff was comfortable speaking english, but 1-2 of them were super helpful. Tip - if you are a non-smoker make sure you mention that at check-in

The hotels location is great. It is a stones throw from Masjid-ul-Nabi altough it is a 10-15min walk from the hotel to the women's entrance for the mosque. Keeping that in mind the hotel does run a shuttle to the womens entrance and back at prayer times.

Food - they serve a LAVISH buffet breakfast.
Free wifi.
