The hotel is perfect in term of location and closeness to the Haram Nabawi. The staff are in general helpful and responsive. Room size is not that large. Main restaurant is large and good in terms of food variety and quality. Recommended for visitors of the Haram coming for a couple of nights.

I don't want to write something just in order to comment, but I would like to relate my experience
- arrival experience : it was fine , greeted normally with a welcome drink, I thanks the hotel for that
- Check in: disaster, the receptionist couldn't find my booking even with the voucher I had given to them, we were oblige to call the agency in Doha to fix the problem & the mistake appear from the hotel.
- Room: I was shocked once inside the, it was smelling very bad , food marks still on the carpet ( the stain looks since couple days) , paper behind the TV stand , this shows that the staff were only visiting the rooms & expediting the cleaning , extra bed not at all for even 1 star hotel , room very small for a family
- the hotel has upgraded me to a suite, but same problems found , the only positive difference was the size of the room
- A hill of linen thrown inside a pantry with a door open beside my room, it was dirty
- staff not responding quickly to request, I had to wait to get a valley for laguage transport
- impossible to get a taxi, staff at the desk trying to push un branded taxi for service, who are charging SR 50 , from the hotel to Hilton hotel area .
- the front office manager, was quite correct with me, as he tried to fix the problems but 1 person cannot do everything, it has to be the entire process & make sure that the service they are offering , is up to the level rated and committed to.
definitely with what I have seen , this is not a 5 stars hotel
I hope that the management will take those comments positively, moevenpick is a great trademark, this should kept as it is.this is why we are relaying on known chains.
Good luck

Room Tip: The hotel management should focus on the cleanliness . most of the time this is what makes the diffe...

lower your expectations and you'll be fine.
I was shocked to see the status of the hotel in term of furniture and cleanness. the bed smells badly, the walls are filled with dirty spots and quite pricey for poor quality. its quite an old hotel which need an quick refurnishing and decorating and clearly undervalue the elegant brand we all appreciate and trust "Moevenpick". however, the staff were very accommodating & friendly.

Room Tip: don't hesitate to ask for another room if you did not like yours because they vary from one and...

I stayed here in February 2014 and it was an absokute pleasure. The rooms are an excellent size and easily accomodated my large family. The location is brilliant, with only a short walk to the prophet's mosque. Breakfast was decent and had plenty of variety. The stars of the show however are the excellent, friendly, helpful staff who certainly go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A special thanks to Ahmed who was superb and made my very early morning check-in a stress free process and took great care of us for the duration of our stay.

Its really shows the Moevenpick loyalty & the staff were helpful & smiley all time. But its location in front of Masjed el Nabawi made it far from women entrance for pray & also for visiting. They have shuttle bus but when we went to Fajr they said that the bus go to airport & didn't return yet. its not enough to have one bus.

Room Tip: Room in raised floors up than 7th will be more quite.

It is one of the best Hotels in Medinah. We stayed in this hotel immediately after the completion of Hajj of 2011 and had a memorable & lovely experience. The rooms were spacious and complete with all amenities, a direct view of the Masjid al Nabvi.
The hotel opens into the courtyard of the haram and has easy access to male entry into the mosque but females have to walk more distance.
You have the added advantage of multiple places to eat in the immediate viscinity in case you opt to eat out. The breakfast and dinner buffets were reasonable, although slightly crowded. Bin Dawood Store is in the basement and u can shop all items including vegetables, juices, etc. at reasonable prices

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are quieter.
