“Best location for prophets mosque”
Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

The objective for most visitors to medinah is to visit the prophets mosque. This hotel is the best in terms of location as it is just at the entrance of the mosque. The lobby is very pleasant, which is always comforting to come back to. The lobby is on the first floor which is reachable by escalator or elevator. The decor of the lobby and restaurants is very nice and elegant. The rooms are a little tired and needs upgrading. The buffet lunch is good but a little pricy. Room service is of equally high quality and the service time is reasonable (about 20 minutes for food to arrive in room). Breakfast variety is excellent, with western as well as middle eastern fare. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff are pleasant, and the front desk are professional too. Try to get a mosque view room.

The location of the hotel is great. The staff are ok but they do not give you the impression that they are great like the other 5 star hotels. the break breakfast is good. I like the way in the corridor when they serve the dates and the Arabic coffee. The rooms were good. The bathrooms were clean. Overall not bad but not as the expectations of a 5 star hotels.

we are a couple ( 2 doctors from cairo, egypt. ).this may be the third or forth time staying in this hotel. it is so close to the haram. you can not complain about any thing in the hotel, but you do not feel it is a "super" hotel. rooms are clean, bath room is ok, breakfast is ok,( but not fantastic ), in brief the "main" advantage of this hotel is, that it is the nearest to the mosque of the prophet. Try to get a room over looking the haram, and in the first 7 floors, so you can get to your room using one lift only. Staff - in general- are ok, but they do not give you the impression that you are special. Other hotels near by, would do more effort to make you feel that they value very much that you stayed in their hotel. in conclusion, choose this hotel if you care about the distance to the haram, but if you care about luxurious atmosphere, you may think about other near by 5 stars hotels.

Room Tip: lower 7 floors over looking the mosque of the prophet .

Stayed here for 6 Nights at the start of 2013 as Umrah. The hotel was great and it's service even greater . Me and my family reached the hotel at around 7:30 pm and within 7 min were in our room with our luggage promptly delivered , so quick was the service that I was able to get the last Rakat of Namaz -e - Isha at the Prophet's Mosque.

Dar Ul Taqwa has probably the best location in Madina as it's right on the door step of Masjid Nabwi's outer corridor and less then a min walk to be inside the masjid.

We took a triplet room and it was large enough to not only accomodate our bags but also offer us a decent seating space within the room.

On Services side , the staff was well trained and extremely courteous. The hotel was immaculately clean many a times I found the staff cleaning the glasses in the lift . My room was made on time and the staff even insisted that I use the mini bar ( complementary) so they can refill it .

Overall a place I will always recommend to my friends and my only choice of stay next time I'm in Medina

Room Tip: Go for the Haram View rooms for a beautiful view.

Stayed for 2 day during Umra. The Hotel Location is great with direct excess to the holy mosque. the room we stayed in was not to bad, but toilets needs to to renovated to come upto standard. The food quality is ok. However, daily charge is too high and needs to be evaluated.

Location is excellent as its closest to PROPHET MOSQUE. Overall, its a calm place not very crowded which is a blessing in hajj days.
But the services were very slow. Restaurant staff was all the time sleepy and unwilling to serve. Toilet had stinking smell. Even the bath tub drain was blocked which was attended after several hours and repeated complaints.
