“Excellent location”

I stayed in this hotel with my wife and parents. Over all very satisfied with the hotel location and other facilities. We opted for haram view and it was a pleasant experience.

i couldn't believe how big and spacious it was. we had the two bedroom suite overlooking the haram. it felt like home with the kitchen and dining and sitting area. it was really nice that both rooms were master bedrooms with closet areas and private fridges as well. i can't think of anything to comment on negatively here the whole stay was fantastic!

I stayed in the hotel with my wife in a suite, the hotel was part of intercon but I guess the frenshize did not work perfectly and relationship was broken. so do not be misled that it is a real 5 star international hotel, however the look and feel is like that. but recently the service and management is degrading noticibly especially the dining, housekeeping, and general services.
so for the location, yes it is in front of the Haram and closer to outside eating places (cheaper than hotel prices, but quality..!).

Room Tip: avoid coming to hotel during prayer time as roads are blocked.

This hotel was part of the InterContinenta chain , At that time the services were excellent . This time I felt that they needed that kind of management . Food quality is getting poorer . Furniture needed to be replaced . You can not get any closer to the gate of the mosque from this hotel . Rooms rate are getting higher . I still LOVE IT ! ! !

Room Tip: A room with a haram view is a must . AVOID the food if you can .

This hotel is very close to woman's gate. I used to go there barefoot. But not so close for men, my father-in-law was on the wheelchair and they had quite a walk to go for ziyarah-e roza-e rasool SAW. Rooms were not so big and bathrooms need some serious renovation. we had to call 3 times for clogged toilet. The hotel is close to shopping and food court so it was a plus. Besides few things i would highly recomend this hotel because of the location.

Room Tip: try to get haram view

Arrived at the hotel just after Zuhr prayers,Check in was smooth and efficient.
The room was overlooking the Haraam.I had a early flight in the morning from Madinah so spent little time at the hotel. What time spent found the hotel serene and service far superior then what was available in hotels in Mecca.
Had stayed with the family before four years ago and consistancy is still there and above all location is exceptional.

Room Tip: Haraam view rooms fantastic for the spirituality

This was my first visit to the city and stayed in the hotel for 4 nights in late March 2012. As a traveling female and not Arabic nor Urdhu's speaker, the English speaking main staff, convenience to the Nabawi mosque and restaurants / stores as well as comfort were must requirements which this hotel provided.

The hotel was listed as 5* due to the proximity / location to the main mosque. The rooms, lobby, restaurants and amenities are very basic, not a 5* quality.

The hotel is within steps away from restaurants, food vendors and shops. The hotel is in a very safe area. I had walked around past midnights several times and not once encountered any issues. It's a great place to stay for single females and families.

The rooms, elevators, lobby were small, cramped and rather old that need revitalizing. But, the entrance of the hotel is literally less than 10 steps from the entrance of the mosque ground. The hotel is also steps away from one of the main women's (entrance # 25) and men's entrances.

The hotel was not as luxurious as the hotel I stayed in Mecca (Intercontinental Dar Al Tawhid), but it provided the same convenience and type of services. Great staff, approachable, accessible and always courteous; some spoke decent English. Room services were great and came within 20 mins. The room is cleaned on a daily basis. The breakfast was definitely a lot better than the one in Mecca. The warm food were actually warm. The pastries and fruits were less desirable. The American coffee (gotta have those to stay awake) and juices were great. The reception guys need to smile a bit more, but they were helpful. All my request for wake up call (after sleeping only 1.5 hrs - 2hrs max) requests were important and always get called without fail.

The hotel provided basic amenities. The Wi-Fii worked great in the room. Towels and bathroom toiletries were replenished daily. Bed made up daily; carpets vacuumed daily. Clean, just a bit cramped and old. Lots of elevators and convenient if you'd like to bring chairs to sit on from the concierge rather than scrambled looking for it in the mosque.

The only very small cons would be as follows. The hotel needs a bit revitalizing. The bathroom floors can be mopped more often; doors and tiles chipped fixed. Also what's up with the wired windows and windows that can't be fully opened? Was disappointed that I couldn't take great pictures of the mosque from my room with the excellent view of the mosque.

In summary, was glad to stay in the hotel, may want to stay there again in the future but in much higher floors. Hopefully it'll get some revitalization before my return.

Room Tip: Get the room facing the masjid / mosque. Despit the wired window, it's still pleasant to look...
