“Unforgetable experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

Its been a nice experience to have our ramadan time here at shaza almadina

All the staff was friendly, food was very excellent. Nice set-up.

Service is very good.

Even sometimes the dish is left empty, its a signed that all of the people was very happy with the food.

I would like to express my gratitude to the filipino guy who worked in Sahour buffet.

He really entertained us, even there's a lot of ordered in his area, he always make sure that the quality of the food he's making was beyond our expectations.

Hopefully i can talked long time to this filipino guy for some personal matter.

Keep it up and job well done to all Shaza Staff.

Thank you for the wonderful and friendly accomodating for my family.

Till next visit chef Vergel, hope you will be here until the next ramadan. InshaAllah.
My family was very happy seeing you making your good job.

Room Tip: Try to eat the freshly cooked omelette by their friendly and nice staff.

My wife and I; booked last 10 days of Ramadan at Shaza; we are pleased that we have booked in this hotel, the check in was smooth and the rooms are very comfortable, regarding the restaurant the food is very tasty and we meet chef Mohaned at the dinning room and he offered if we want any thing special to prepare; we asked him to cock something from his country Syria; he cocked a very nice dish from Hama, thank you Shaza and all staff.

I stayed in shaza madina in Ramadan. The location is just few meters to Haram, behind Dar altaqua and opposite to Hilton. Friendly staff and warm welcome at reception. The room has oriental decorations and Islamic touch. Excellent food, and good quality for money.
You need to take an escalator to reach the reception, the escalator is a little dirty. Also the windows need to be cleaned from outside.
Overall experience is very good and definitely one of the best hotels in Madinah.

I've stayed in this hotel around 1 year and half back. The location is perfect- only few steps to Haram. It's a stylish and modern hotel. The service and food were excellent. I advise everyone to try this hotel especially if you are looking for a convenient visit.

Did our Umrah and was assisted throughout by the reservations manager Nader Bhaig. Was very helpful and ensured our stay was smooth. We had a small problem where one of e persons in our group checked out but left his wallet in e hotel safe box. Alhamdulillah, Nader Bhaig helped by ensuring that we received back e item after we made arrangements for it to b brought to Makkah. All e items n cash were accounted for with nothing missing. Thanks for e help. It was excellent service on e hotels part.

I stayed here last year during my 2 day visit to Madina. I picked this hotel based on its location and distance to the Mosque and the reviews on the website.

The location is indeed unmatchable. It is less than 50 steps from the Central Door of the mosque. There quiet a few dining options downstairs, currency change and general stores and so is Hardees and KFC.

The room we had was a suite with an attached living area with sofa bed and a small dining table. On the whole, the room was quiet comfortable. The key issues I had with this hotel were the service level and the elevator system.

The service was quiet poor. I waited for 15 mins and then carried my bags in myself and the bell boys just kept walking past me and ignoring my bags. Their reception is not on the ground floor by on a floor above it so we had to carry our luggage to that floor. The check-in was extremely unorganized. Specially in a place where people dont really appreciate queing up and one of them even asked his wife to check in as women are given preference in queues. Add this to the extremely slow check-in staff and you get one long queue.

Secondly the elevators are spread all across the lobby. With no interconnectivity. In general, I wont find this an issue, but in a place where you have gone specifically for catching every prayer in the mosque and not just you but everyone else has the same agenda as well, then having a mismanaged elevators network becomes an issue.

And I almost missed out the breakfast. The most badly organized breakfast I have ever been to (& I spend 200 nights a year in hotels). The dining area was a complete mess. Me and my son ate at a table after cleaning it ourselves (pushing dirty dishes aside to make room for us). Very limited options and nothing much to mention.

Having been to Madina once, I think I wont choose this hotel again inspired just by its location.

i stayed for 5 nights. Beautiful decor, cozy room & good breakfast. Very close to Musjid al Nabawi.
We arrived at 8pm and the room was not ready.
The only problem i really had, was that the hotel is DUSTY and SMELLY.
The corridor carpets are filthy and my sinuses were gone crazy!!! perhaps new carpets are in order.
I stayed there 2 years ago and think the carpets have never been cleaned since then!!!!
I don't think I will take a 3rd chance.
please work on making your staff friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: all rooms seem quite nice and comfortable. The junior suite was very comfortable for 3 to 4 people.
