“the atrium makes it a 'palace'....”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

yes indeed ...the interior of the hotel is spectacular....and thanks to the atrium it is quite palatial...check in was efficient and swift....the room very comfortable...quiet and well furnished..it was well serviced....the bathroom was fine.....the tv had a good variety of channels...including one of my favourites:' russia today'...the breakfast was excellent indeed with a delicious variety of dishes...both hot and cold....2 things were most noteworthy during my brief stay at this hotel...1. the most kind receptionist who helped me to print my lufthansa boarding passes..and 2. the truly EXCELLENT 'lunch box' breakfast which was delivered to my room at 05.00...i had ordered it the evening before...i have never partaken of such a delectable 'packed' breakfast in a hotel......not only the usual contents but a DELICIOUS hot and freshly cooked omelette ...wrapped in foil....a most pleasant surprise and it certainly fortified me for the rigours of an early morning check in at ekaterinburg airport....well done atrium palace....i can thoroughly recommend this hotel...

Room Tip: upper floor if you need peace and quiet

I stayed 3 nights for a business conference and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is not 5-stars, as I had seen it rated on numerous sites, but still it was a solid 3+. Nice, clean, comfortable, good food, good customer service and friendly employees, had no problem with English or Italian, and all in all is quite recommendable. Well located, a nice church right next door in the classic style and easily walkable overall.
Take note of the bathrooms if you are elderly, handicapped or lack agility. I'm a very spry 65 and had to be careful getting in and out of the tub/shower. It is a very high tub and you need support to climb up and into it, moreso when wet and climbing out. All rooms are probably the same, but ask for an accessible room if you need it, to avoid trouble.
The elevators have keycard security and overall the hotel seems very nice and safe. The Vienna Cafe in the lobby is a nice, classically elegant place for a coffee and chat.
If you're a non-smoker, note that smoking is allowed in the lobby so the smell can be noticeable at times if there are many people there in the sitting areas.

Room Tip: Overall, a quiet stay. Room 318 overlooks the entrance roof so not a nice view, but a higher floor o...

The first thing one notices on entering this hotel is the modern and spacious 8 story high foyer.
A number of the staff spoke good English and all were attentive & helpful.
Our room was spacious and quiet. The curtains (often a shortcoming in hotels) cut out most of the light.
Breakfast was very good in the restaurant - an airy room capped by a glass dome. The restaurant also provides a reasonably priced 'business lunch'. Also attached to the hotel is a cafe, decorated in Viennese style, which provides light meals and coffee.
Wifi internet is free and fairly fast.
There is a large and well-equipped gym.
A very pleasant 3 night stay.

The reasons I give 4 stars rather than 5:
Housekeeping could have been better - I left a dirty glass (it had been used for alka-seltzer, so was very dirty) on the bedside table after the first night and it remained there our entire stay. Also, the toilet was not properly cleaned.
Standing in the bathtub with a shower curtain is a bit 1970s for my taste - the bathroom could use updating to bring it into the 21st century.

I was in this hotel for two nights for the business trip in Yekaterinburg and the hotel was a bit above my expectations. It is very well located very close to the city center, on one of the streets that it's easy to access from everywhere. The staff is young, sometimes not experienced enough, but really willing to support and to help.
The breakfast is nice, the variety is wide, good quality and clean.
The laundry service is fast and good.
The bar in the lobby is also nice, I was really surprised by the very high quality of the very delicious food there.
The price is a bit too high for this hotel, however the reasons for that are quite clear.
The furniture in the hotel is new and nice, however the style is typically Soviet one, as well as the overall design of the interior.
The bathroom is very small and the water quality was somehow not really impressive - there was a very bad smell coming from the water, however if you allow the stream to be open for some 5-10 minutes it disappears and you can use this water to take a shower and even to brush your tees.
There is no parking place issues, however during the day in the normal working hours it can be full.
If you come to Yekaterinburg for business it is a kind of "luxury" place and you can really enjoy there.

We attended an intl conference in this hotel with quite a large group of colleagues from various countries and many were disappointed with customer service. Concierge is unable to make a correct booking at the place of interest, takes a while to react to the customers queries, not disclosing info in full (overpriced taxis, driver pointing to the deals with hotel), standard front desk routine takes ages, inappropriate comments/excuses to guests queries, refusal to deal with claims and disclosing legal data. Can't be rated as a 5 star hotel.

Grand lobby, large rooms, clean property, efficient and nice staff. I was impressed with the service and politeness, we were much too noisy on few occasions nevertheless the employees always managed to get their point across elegantly. Expect a five-star assistance and very good value for the price paid.
