The gardens are very beautiful and the arrangement of the trees and flora is quite unique. It must only be possible based on the climate, but the lush pine and palm trees intermixed are a nice site. Spend a couple of hours walking up and down the gardens. At the top is a nice view of Sochi and the Black Sea.
There is a little zoo area across the street that your entry fee covers. There a lot of birds and a peacock that you can take pictures with. There was also a lady trying to get us to take a picture with a raccoon. I'm not sure why, maybe it's an exotic animal in Russia. In the US, just leave some trash outside and you'll get all the raccoons you could ever wish for.
The ticket booth did not speak any English, but it wasn't a problem. Just point and pay. I think there is basically only 1 ticket option anyways. Not challenging for tourists.
