very tasty and very authentic. It doesn't look so promising before you walk into it, but inside it is beautiful! their design is really good, and the food as well. My husband and me were celebrating his birthday there and we were absolutely happy about our choice. Especially, I recommend sherbet from the dessert menu. In March, they had some problems with English translation in their menu, but it should not disturb you.

I'm a big fan of Indian food and had been intending to come here for a long time. I was a little disappointed.
The atmosphere is quite posh and it's a friendly, comfortable place to eat. It was a bit hard to find. The food was quite good but nothing to really go crazy about. The sample plates were probably the best thing that I tried. The whole thing is a little pricey. I was glad I went but probably wouldn't go back.

This place is beautiful on the inside. It may be the most interesting and ornately decorated Indian restaurant we've ever seen. Service was good. Food very good. Atmosphere relaxing. Easy cab ride, or a bit of a walk from the center. We recommend.

You enter thru an unconventional door as always it s like in Russia to an unknown world, again that s the whole point of excitement. You can bump into lots of European cusine, Italians, French or Sushi places, but an Indian? in Kazan. That must be interesting. More interesting is if really you fall into Indian food. If you have tasted Indie in London. One of the prominent capitals you can find decent Indian food. So you enter into Malabar that s in one of the best part of Kazan city. Don t miss the panaromic view of the river, the Millenium Bridge, new part of the city across the river and the new European cup Stadium that you can witness if you bother to walk briefly after you leave Malabar towards the Red bricked Museum on your left. So you are in now, Atmosphere s Indian, smell s Indian. Just relax in one of the corners with the big table and order one of the mixed menu s to get one of the best Indian in Europe. It does not matter it s with lamb, veggie or chicken. Just taste and look into the eyes. You are in a dream you never wish to get awakened, You are trapped, will never forget, always want to come back. But never will be. You are alone with the taste in your brain and black eyes in your faint reminsicances. Farewell Malabar, Never Indian again somewhere else

This was a great find, thanks to tripadvisor. It was a bit hard to find, but I was glad I did. I was hoping for more vegetarian food, but there was certainly enough for a great meal. Samosas were excellent and the baklazhan was very tasty. Warm, comfortable atmosphere. Cost: for two to dine, a beer each, samosas and entrees: 1260 rubles, about 40 usd. One thing that was surprising: no Indian beer! All the same, it is well worth a visit when you are in Kazan.
