The Avon Inn is a large old building on the main street of Avon. It dates back to the early to mid 1800's. It has a bar, restaurant, and rooms. The review just covers our stay not any food.
The building is old and has a lot of historic charm but needs some money sunk into it for renovations. The division of the building into rooms was uneven in quality and attention to historical detail. Some of it didn't work as well as it cloud have been. Yes, that is a kind of nitpicking restoration comment. Our room was large and comfortable and the furnishings match the character of the building in a modest way. The room was clean, everything worked but it's worn around the edges. It was the kind of place I wanted to love but only could like. The price was very good and staff were very friendly.
If you stay it's more an inn and not a B&B but the value is good. Try it sometime with modest expectations. It's good enough that we would stay again.More
