The Aigul sits just across the road from the presidential residence. I was there in October which seemed to be a very quiet period of the year. Thus, there were not many guests that I ran into during my 2 -day stay; almost none.
The receptionists all spoke English and they were very amiable.
I had a single room with a small-ish but very comfortable soft bed.
The bathroom is a medium size, with nice hot water and good pressure. I appreciated the bathroom radiator that kept it a bit warmer and helped dry out small items I needed to wash.
In general, the room temperature - which was not regulatable - was on the warm side, so I kept the window open for cool air could flow in.
The area is very, very quiet, which I loved. Taxis are not expensive and can easily be
ordered from the front desk.
The breakfast menu – which they claimed was going to be a buffet - was just a minimal amount of things on a menu, to choose from, which could only be described as continental. I was fine with it, but it's just to let you know.
I would return again.
Nice hotel. Nice city.
