Excellently located in a safe upmarket area just a few minutes walk from the main square and within a 20 to 30 minute walk to most of the city's main attractions. Staff very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast is good and the same restaurant does evening meals and lunch, we only tried the evening menu, it was good but quite expensive at around £40 for two (you get a 20% discount on dinner while staying).
Our room (102) seemed to be the largest on the ground floor and was a reasonable size but did feel a little tired and lacking in style and design, although it was clean and in a good state of repair. It lacked certain little touches like tea and coffee facilities in the room, although you do get a small safe and two 0.5 litre bottles of water in the room that you can refill free from water coolers in the hallway. The bed had a big mattress then a smaller one on top so it was a bit of a jump to get on for me, I'm 5ft 2in.
Some good eateries nearby are Zoom cafe around 20 mins walk away designed a bit like a kids play room with teddy bears and board games, also Mertens Bengal and Zaek around 5 mins away on the main street Nevsky-prospect and did nice burgers etc in a really well designed and layed out building. O'Hooligans Irish pub was good for a few drinks and is around 5 minutes walk away.

This hotel has a great location and we had a wonderful stay there. A good breakfast is provided and the staff was excellent. We used their arranged transportation which worked well. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Just back from a wonderful stay at the Pushka Inn St Petersburg. The superb staff at this small friendly hotel made our visit extra special. The location is ideal for visiting the sites. The staff spoke excellent english, they arranged our transfers to and from the airport and printed out our boarding passes for our return journey. would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this lovely city

Room Tip: we stayed in room 303 overlooking the courtyard the room was very quiet

This is a fabulous inn with very helpful staff, perfectly located a few minutes walk from the Hermitage and Nevsky Prospect and the Church on Spilled Blood. There's nice restaurant next door where hotel guests get a 20% discount and a lovely room with great bathroom. We had a room facing the canal. I will definitely stay there next time too!

Room Tip: Costs a bit more to face the canal but worth it.

My sister, dad and I stayed at the Pushka Inn May 15th - 19th 2013. My dad has been wanting to visit St. Petersburg for 40 years and both the city and the hotel did not disappoint. My sister booked the Pushka Inn based on the trip advisor reviews, we wanted somewhere central that was friendly. When we realised it also had apartments we decided to book it even though we hadn't got any flights booked at that stage and we are so glad that we did. The hotel contacted us a couple of days before to ask if we would like them to arrange a taxi to collect us from the airport, we said yes as we had wondered how easy it was going to be for us to get to the hotel. The guy from the taxi company was waiting in the terminal and about an hour later we arrived at the hotel. It was late afternoon on a beautiful sunny day and we could not believe how near to the Hermitage we were. The staff on reception could not have been anymore welcoming or helpful. We were on the 4th floor in a 1 bedroom studio apartment, my sister and I shared the twin bedroom and dad had the sofa bed in the living room. Both these rooms were on the generous side and we had a separate bathroom and toilet and a hall/vesitbule area. We came and went as we pleased, whenever we had a question whoever was on reception was on hand to help. It came as a pleasant surprise that breakfast was included in the room rate and we were happy with the choices at breakfast. It was also great that we got 20% off any food and drinks in the restaurant as we usually called in for a drink after a day sightseeing before going up to change to go out again in the evening. If I came to St Petersburg again I would stay here and have recommended both the city and hotel to friends.
