We decided to visit a beautiful city of St. Petersburg in Russia. But where to stay if mostly all hotels are so expensive? My friend came across this centrally located, close to metro station and Nevskii Prospect hotel Suvorov. It's a safe, clean, quiet and inexpensive, breakfast included establishment! A tip, if you make a reservation through Neva tour company, it will be another 20% off. Enjoy the sites, culture and great food in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe! Another tip, restaurant Elki Palki on Nevskii Prospect serves awesome Lunch for just 150 rubles, which is around $5. Not a bad deal.

The hotel is in a good location just a ten minute walk from Moscow train station. The walls are so thin though that I could hear my neighbour texting so you can imagine how clear it was when he went to the lavatory. The breakfasts were good and plentiful and the staff are friendly and very helpful. There are cheap supermarkets very close for drinking water and other essentials. I enjoyed my four night stay here overall.

Stayed at this location with G-adventures tour. Yes, this is a budget hotel, but the staff was plesant and the breakfast was basic and fresh. Average WIFI. The location is good, 5-10 minutes from the train station and Metro station in the downtown area. There are other options in the area, and when the tour was done, i moved to another local hotel. However, overall the experiance was not as bad as i expected after reading the reviews noted below.

We chose this hotel because of its location and we also were in a rush. We came to the hotel which is located on the ground floor of a block of flats, it smelled of dampness, took us a few days to get used to the smell. The floor in the room was not clean. The breakfast we got was very poor, the boiled water for tea was coming yellow. Then one of my dresses disappeared. We told the hotel staff, but the answer was that it was not possible, I might have not looked properly, the dress will appear when I arrive home and all sort of silly comments.
Besides all this, the hotel staff was trying to get us to buy tickets for one of the tours outside Peterburg without knowing that we had already been there, they were trying to convince us that we have organised it for the 20th of June with a tour agency while our flight back was on the 19th.

This hotel is disgusting. I chose the Suvorov because of it's location in central St Petersburg. However I was woken at 4am with bed bugs biting me. I complained to the hotel staff however they did not believe that there were bed bugs in my room. I showed them the welts which had appeared all over my body however they still did not believe me. I had booked a two night stay and requested to be moved to another room. The hotel staff lied and told me that the hotel was fully booked. The following evening I looked under my matress to find giant brown stains caused by the excretions of the bed bugs. At 1am I had a tantrum at the reception manager and threatened to drag the matress into the restaurant so that the hotel guests could see the state of it. I was finally moved to another room. However the next morning another person on my tour appeared with red welts all over her body. It seems that the hotel has a problem with infestation. Do not stay here!!!!!!
