Stayed here a week so got to know both the hotel and St Petersburg well, but first a few Airport arrival tips. St Petersburg has 2 terminals (1 & 2) which are on opposite sides of the airport, should you need to change terminals, you can get taxi for 500Rbl inc tip. However if you don't need to change terminals and just go directly to the hotel, a taxi to the hotel can be arranged at via hotel front desk just send email with your flight details and the driver will be waiting for you.

The room I had was on the 3rd floor, and was quiet, with a spacious bathroom, a big bed and free wifi everywhere. They have an excellent breakfast which can be either buffet style (includes champagne and caviar) or large freshly cooked a-la-carte depending on your level of hunger. The hotel location is good and central and being close to Nevsky Prospect, one of the main shopping areas of the city. 5 minutes (max) walk from the hotel will bring you to a closest Metro Station (Vladimirsky) and you can buy tickets either from the ticket booth or self serve machines. The Metro is easy to understand as there are only 5 lines covering the city and all station names are written in both Cyrillic and English script. If you wish to take an easy walk, 20min will bring you to the Hermitage, the Church on Spilt Blood & Kazan Cathedral.

If you wish to eat outside of the hotel, there are several local restaurants in the surrounding area with lots of options from fast food to excellent fine dining. The only one I would recommend to 'avoid' is the oriental place called Dve Palotchki (Two Sticks) on the corner of Vladimirsky and Nevsky where the service is rubbish and the food overpriced, all other restaurants were fine. However if you wish to eat in the hotel, the hotels own restaurants serve excellent food, overlarge portion sizes and good knowledgeable multi-lingual staff to help you if needed. In addition the hotel gives you a discount of 25% if your a resident, making it good value to eat in if you don't wish to explore the city at night.

There are also several other services available with the hotel, including a hairdresser and beauty complex for the ladies, and an excellent Concierge service where city tours and theater tickets can be arranged.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the city, albeit on business or pleasure.

Room Tip: The quieter rooms are those on the upper 3rd and 4th floors and at the back of the hotel.

A small boutique hotel is centrally located, but still not on the main strip.
The room is very spacious. I have stayed in standard room, which was very large with couches, big bed and big and comfortable bathroom.
The room contained everything necessary such as mini bar, free wi-fi, bathroom accessories, free bottled water, etc..
The breakfast is good. Have stayed over Sunday and then they served champagne and caviar for the breakfast.
The staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel has courtyard which provid more space and make it more homely. If you want to avoid the faceless hotel and enjoy at a boutique hotel, then this hotel is recommended warm. Good value for money!

The standard room we were accomodated in has no windows that you can open. So you are always living under A/C. The decoration is what we call "kitsh". The bathroom is clean and they provide all necessary soaps and shampoos. They also offer 2 half liter botlles of mineral water every day which is a very kind attention.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful and the quality is OK.

We spent one wonderful night in this boutique hotel. We were welcomed by the staff upon our arrival, we were made to feel very comfortable and cozy. We had made reservations in the restaurant, even though we where the only people that night (Sunday night) we were treated to a delicious elegant candlelight dinner. We could not have asked for more. It was our wedding anniversary and they made sure we felt special. Our room was very large, clean and quiet. Everyone in the morning was welcoming and breakfast was delicious. It was a surprise. It is not a modern place, but it was exactly what their site described. At night we where comfortable to walk around the area. they arranged for a private tour of the city by a highly professional tour guide.

While visiting a club in St Petersburg, I had an unfortunate incident, bad luck really, where my wallet was stolen and my credit cards charged. Credit card computers are very smart these days and can detect unusual activity. Sure enough they did and thankfully the damage was restricted, however they still need police reports etc.

Thankfully I was staying at this hotel who really understands what it means to give customer service.

The staff at this hotel was very understanding and helped me file the police complaint and spent several hours helping me with translations, and sort through the mess. The front desk and the management did a fantastic job. They cared! I highly recommend this hotel for someone who is looking for a home away from home.

The hotel restaurant and bar staff is very pleasant as well and if you are looking for suggestions on what to do they are more than willing to help. They have a TV where often they are playing football (soccer) so you can enjoy a beer and watch some games.

Only slightly negative thing I can say is that they sometimes have weddings or parties in their banquet hall and a band could be heard in the room. They could do some more sound proofing. I don't mind this as I get to small taste of the Russian culture by being in the vicinity, and most visitors who come here are probably out walking in the evening .

The Wi-Fi works great. Around 2Mbs speeds which is amongst the top speeds I have seen anywhere traveling. I could watch HD videos in YouTube, and even remote login.

I have stayed at many hotels in SPB in the past several years this being the most often one.

Room Tip: the rooms out front towards along the corridor are the best. Almost double the size of a standard room and a lot of privacy. They may be a bit higher tariff, but worth it.
