The only choice here is the number of donuts you get, and unless you know Russian you're limited to the number of fingers you have. Then you get a cup of like-warm coffee/cocoa-tasting sweet liquid to accompany them.

I can't see the buzz of this place. The "since 1958" authenticity is shattered when the servery lady pulls your donuts from the microwave oven. Donuts were oily, slightly chewy and, due to the microwaving, a bit soggy.

I've ticked this box. No need to go back, or even go the first time. Try somewhere else.

Very inexpensive!! This place is a MUST -- even though the lines can sometimes be long and the clerks aren't helpful, the donuts are authentic and the experience is really quite unique, especially for those who aren't familiar with the Soviet Union. Paper squares as 'napkins' and small plastic cups of tea or instant coffee, but delicious donuts that are a perfect snack.

The donuts was yummy but we had a tough time with the elderly lady who was really rude and loud to us since we didn't speak Russian. We simply point our order as the person before us but was in return reply in a loud and hostile hand gesture... :( Will love to go back everyday for their donuts if not for the nasty experience we had. Go only if you can speak Russian or have a local who assist you in ordering... A pity though

It's a small, humble soviet place where you can find basically only donuts and coffee but! It's so delicious!!! They are small and puffy, very recommended especially when cold outside :)
