“Great place to eat for a decent price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

The waiter could speak english and they had a menu in english (They get a lot of points just for this because most places in St.Petersburg don't have it).
Food was really good and in an expensive place like St.Petersburg, at least for students travelling around like backpackers, this place offered quality food at a good price.
Eating good and not that expensive can be quite complicated in St. Petersburg if you don't know some locals or don't get any help from your hostel staff.
I can only say it is a nice place to go and a good place to have a stop and chill while sightseeing in St. Petersburg.

“Modern, good food, and well positioned”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2013

The food was tasty, the waiter was very friendly and spoke excellent English, and the drinks were reasonably priced. A very good restaurant if you aren't looking for traditional Russian interiors, this is place is hip and modern. The pear crumble for 2 was delicious.

“Great food at small funky restaurant/bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

We went to this restaurant after reading about it on Tripadvisor.com. The Place is small and has a simple design with small square tables and wooden panel on two of the walls.

Staff are friendly and speak English. I had the salad with chicken and pumpkin - it was really good. The dessing seemd to be sort of like a Teriayki sauce. My better half had a burger with potatoes. No ketchup, but with a nice salsa instead. Very good. If you are American and used to LARGE portions - please note that servings are small. But then again - this is Europe and you've probably had to much to eat on your vacation anyway. You should also save some room in your stomach for the dessert. The baked pear crumble in white wine with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and almonds is especially good. Please note that the serving for one is quite large and that the casserole is hot!

A good option for those who don't drink alcohol is the virgin mojito. Very good! :)

I would recommend this restaurant! We left early, but it seems to be a place where young people stay out late and have drinks. A simple restaurant with a bar at one end. Good food and not expensive.

“Suprisingly Delicious Food in Basic Interior Design”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

If you choose a place to eat in for the cosy interior design where you'll be just as snug as a bug in a rug, and you're not a fussy eater, this place will never catch your eye. But it you want to have a nice meal at a reasonable price after a tiresome, but awesome sightseeing tour around St.Pete, have excellent value for money and be absolutely delighted with the food offered to you - welcome to this very basic place with the name which implies some kind of irony..., but you may be sure, the plates will be clean at the end of the meal, actually, with perhaps a slightest possibility of some left-overs. And this is regardless of the fact that the portions are large and will satisfy even those who eat like horses. We tried duck (Russian style, with baked apple, sauerkraut and prune stew) and thin pancakes. Mouthwatering... And another interesting remark: although other cafes and restaurants nearby were almost empty at that time, this one was fully packed with visitors some 15 minutes after we got in. But we didn't wait longer than 15 minutes for the dishes and still, the young servers appologized for the slow(!) service, Despite all that, they we welcoming and efficient. Add this to the fact that this cafe is just a few minutes walk from St.Isaac Cathedral, Nevsky prospect and the Winter Palace (the Hermitage) and... there is no way one can miss it. Incidentally they also have a special menu for children under 7 (both in Russian and English, if I'm not mistaken). So, visit it and enjoy your meal!
