“Vodka and samples”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

This was a fun museum after a heavy load of other museum viewing. The English speaking guide was fabulous with a good sense of humour about the history of Vodka, the prohibition periods and the change over time of Vodka taste.

Well worth a break from the serious stuff, although Vodka is serious in Russia.

“Good Fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

A museum which serves up alcohol to you - what more could you ask for. We had an English speaking guide who was able to provide us with an interesting history of vodka followed by three samples to try - all very different.

Lots of vodka on their list and they have the top 10 selling vodkas on a board so you can see them. We finished up buying a number of presents from here - Matroshka dolls with a miniature bottle of vodka inside. They went down very well when we returned to Australia. Follow it up with dinner in the restaurant as it is very good (and you can continue drinking vodka there throughout your meal.

“Awesome vodka menu!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

I had the white birch vodka which was great, but there was a massive menu to choose from and the other ones i tried (but now cant remember the titles of) were also delicious. The waiter was honest re recommendations re which ones to go for (and steered us away from the 'StPetersburg" vodka). 'Zakuska" and "pelmeni" were delicious. Interior

“A great place to get a quick education on vodka!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

The displays were educational as were the samples provided after the tour, but their collection of hundreds of bottles that are currently in production worldwide was truly eye opening. Loved Beluga and Czarskya varieties the best! Worth the time.

“Really Fun Time, Relax and Enjoy It!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2012

Wow, some of the reviews of this place are really harsh. Not sure why. The museum is a fun little 45 minute tour that gives you some great history and trivia. Take it for what it is. It's FUN and it's a prelude to a very good restaurant serving very typical Russian dishes. The restaurant is a lovely setting, open and very traditional. The vodka selection is vast and boasts some excellent choices. The menu is all traditional and everything our group of four tried was well prepared and delicious. One of the group is Russian and she, too, was quite pleased with the whole experience. So, take it for what it is -- a fun little tour, a vodka tasting, a really good restaurant and some more vodka!
