at each Corner of the Bridge. And the spectacular views you have in the four directions. Surely one of the most beautiful bridges (around 400) in Town.

I don't think I would ever get home safely if I was left alone to wander. There are so many bridges I would be lost. They are all built with great architecture and skill. Fascinating to see.

This bridge over the Fontaka River, recognized by the sculpture of horses at each of the four corners of the bridge, affords a great view of the river and the many palaces along the river's embankment.

As with most bridges, it's not worth a special out-of-the-way trip to visit, but worth plotting a route that goes right over (or under) it.
It's located close to the middle of the Nevsky Prospect, so chances are that you'll have to pass it by anyway!

The bridge isn't an attraction as much as the 4 statues, 2 on each side of the bridge - the 4 stages of taming of the Horse.

One of the 4 pedestals has damage on it as a result of WW2 bombings (the other three were fully restored post-war), as a memorial of the damage inflicted on the city.

Passed under and over this bridge and we still cannot fully grasp the artisanship that created it. Breathtaking!
