“Special Bridge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

We crossed this bridge often on our 2 day tour on the Nevesky Prospect. The 4 stages of taming a horse are very realistic, a great landmark

“The four horsemen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

These statues are so detailed. You can see the veins of the horses, the fur on one of the coverings, and the hair in the manes and tails. So well done. We loved looking at them.

“Architectural highlight of Nevsky Prospekt”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

Anichkov Bridge is one of the architectural highlights of Nevsky Prospekt. The bridge was built by order of Peter the Great and named after its engineer, Mikhail Anichkov. The most striking decorations on Anichkov Bridge, the Horse Tamers were sculptured by Pyotr Klod. Out of 342 bridges in St. Petersburg, this one is the world's most renowned for his sculptures and beauty!

“Nothing like this in Paris”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

As a lover of the many bridges crossing the Seine, I have to say that Anichkov is in a class of its own. The iron work on the bridge is elegant and the four horse and rider sculptures placed on each corner are dramatic and impressive.

“Not sure what the fuss is about”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

Walked to the bridge and not really sure what we were supposed to get from it, nothing special but needed to get to the other side of the river.
