“Busy and Vibrant”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

Its a really bustling street with bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The nightlife is also good with most shops open till early hours of the morning in summer and especially during "white nights." If you walk right to the top you end up at the Hermitage museum and you will find St Isaacs Cathedral on the same promenade. Our hotel was very close to the Nevsky Prospekt and we found easy access to the cafes and restaurants.

“I love this Street”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

I love this street. It has everything: attractions, shops, malls, restaruants, etc. If you go to St. Petersburg, you will find yourself on this street. You will also be glad you did. I had fun walking around, shopping, eating, and people watching. I was here in January, and even walking around at night, there were a lot of people on the street.

“The heart of the city”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

I walked this street many times a day during my stay in St. Petersburg. You can find anything here: bars, café, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, banks and the list goes on. If your main transportation is made of bones and muscels you can't go wrong sleeping close to it since many of the cities main attraction are in walking distance.

We walked around a little with our tour guide and did some shopping. It is a lot longer and wider than I thought. I like the way to cross, you can go under the street. Pretty safe that way.

“The backbone of the city”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

By walking through this street, you cross the whole historical center of the city. It brings you to all the main attractions, and Hermitage and Winter's palace are just at the end of it. It helps you understand the city and it's peculiarities. On the way you find the statue of Catherine the Great, the church of the Spilled Blood, the Russian museum, and shops, resturants, and some old buliding like Cafe Singer.
