Recently, my wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at the GHE in St. Petersburg. We live in Russia and wanted to somehow make our day special so we chose this hotel. And, I can say that from the moment we made our reservation until the moment we checked out, the care, attention to detail from the staff as well as Thomas Noll, the General Director, was absolutely 5 Star!

When we arrived, every single person knew our names and why we were there. Our room, a recently rennovated historic suite, was simply spectacular and awaiting us was an amazing bouquet and a great bottle of Champagne.

We had a dinner with some close friends in the Chopstix restaurant and then went out on the town. Upon return, our room has been transformed into a rose-petal impressionist painting! Everywhere they were perfectly tossed about and formed a heart on the bed!

Special hand-written notes from the hotel staff as well as Mr. Noll truly made us feel like royalty!

An unbelievable expeience, so much so that we plan on celebrating other big dates at the hotel--we were left regretting that we had to leave the next day but promised ourselves we would certainly return.

I recommend this hotel to everyone!

This hotel is welcoming. The service is excellent. The ambience is outstanding but the price is to match. It's worth a stay - especially if you are on expenses !

Grand Hotel made our trip to St. Petersburg very memorable. We did not want to take taxis because of stories we've heard from friends who have visited the city so we arranged for a car for airport transfers and to take us to and from the ballet. Very efficient and friendly drivers.

Our dinner at the L'Europe restaurant was so wonderful. Food was outstanding, service was amazing, and the entertainment during dinner (7 piece orchestra and ballet performance) was a delight. We had the buffet breakfast each morning and there were so many choices that we ended up only eating 2 meals a day since our breakfast was so hearty and filling.

The hotel is elegant and quiet and our suite was very clean and well-appointed. Yes, it's an expensive hotel but we felt we got our money's worth.

I have recently been to the Orient Express Grand Hotel europe with my young child for a quick Eastern vacation.
From the moment we got in I realized that that their service was beyond imagination.
Smiling facing at front desk were welcoming my little boy with a Teddy Bear and in the lobby there were 3 little real rabbits greeting guests in a very nice open space filled with Easter eggs.
the room ( a Junior Suite) was spectacular and the hotel location is right there, walking distance from all major attractions.
From bell boys, to front desk and restaurant staff made us feel at home .
My littel child was the center of their attention and this is really hard to find in 5 stars hotels.
I would raccomend this hotel million of times!
