Huge. You need days to even see a small section of it. Dont like tge idea that you have to take a guide to get entry into the Diamond Room
Disliked - you pay a bomb for the Diamond Room and are zipped thru it in minutes. Frankly i couldnt understand the hoop la. Topkapi has a lot more

Unfortunately during the short summer period the museum is overcrowded. Difficult to see anything. However, book the private viewing of the gold and diamond room which is spectacular

The Hermitage is much too big to be seen in the small amount of time we had, but our guide did her best to show us the highlights. It was simply amazing, all the gilt and carving, all the paintings from every genre from Old Masters to Modern Art. I heard that if you just spent a minute looking at each painting, viewing all the Hermitage would take seven years, so it was amazing that we saw so much in such a short time.

Everything was beautiful. I was a little bit frustrated becaused I ´ve purchased tickets for the Winter Palace and when I went for my visit, it was closed in the morning, and there was no signs informing it. As I had other activities to do in the afternoon, I couldn´t return to visit that part of the Hermitage.
