Description: Conveniently located not far from Nevsky on Malaya Morskaya, Levin is a small restaurant with a homey atmosphere. Their menu has a selection of moderately-priced homemade Russian dishes and even the pickiest of eaters will be able to find something familiar and satisfying. They are very accomdating to foreign guests, and have a bilingual menu. The service is among the fastest you'll find in St. Petersburg - you're not going to waste fifteen minutes waiting for someone to bring you a menu. It's not usually very busy or loud, so it's a good place to relax and have a nice meal in a homey setting.

“Very tasty and expensive food”

The service is very good, and chicken stroganoff I had were ultra-tasty!! But, the menu offers quite a small range of plates, which are all pretty expensive

“Blinis to die for...”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

There were six of us and we had a great evening here.. Got completely lost and were almost an hour late, but the waitress managed to fit us in despite the fact they were very busy. She was really helpful with good English

Food was good, but the real star of the show was the blinis. Not what I understood to be traditional - they were more like little pancakes, served with delicious butter and caviar. They kept on coming, so we were quite full up by the time we got to the main courses. Between us we also had Borscht, which was very good, beef stroganoff and salmon, which were fine, but not especially memorable. Desserts, including a berry pavlova were good. Would be happy to come back here if we return to St Petersburg.

“Average Offerings at Levin”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Based on Tripadvisor reviews, my wife and I recently had dinner at the Levin Restaurant in St. Petersburg, Russia. While the restaurant was a cozy little place, the food was not particularly noteworthy. We both tried the beef stroganoff, which had a very pronounced liver flavor to it. The service was good and our waitress spoke very good English and was very friendly. I am not certain that I would go back to Levin.

“Nothing left!”
Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

We arrived before 20 hrs on a Sunday, half of plates were finished: the menu, the stroganoff beef, one or two starters, ...
They were very slow and even the waitress came twice to apology.
Not to come back.
The place is nice, though.

Great food, great service, English happily spoken. We visit this restaurant twice and really enjoyed the food and service. Not an extensive menu but well done. We would reccomend.
