Ekaterina first meeting through email was very helpful. We provided her with our itinerary and our likes/dislikes and she provided some suggestions immediately. We finalized on a 2 days package that included pretty much all the major attractions plus more. We wanted a river cruise so she included it into the package. We wanted to see a ballet show so she reserved us 2 tickets to see Swan Lake at the Hermitage theatre. We had a hard time finding tickets on the Sapsan train from Moscow to St. Petersburg so she went out of her way to help us find tickets but unfortunately the russian website didn't take many U.S. credit cards to purchase it. Nevertheless, the thought was appreciated. We were arriving very late at night 11pm so we were a bit nervous about getting a taxi that late so she arranged a private car to pick us up at the airport and also to take us from hotel to airport at 3 am a few days later!!! All this reserved without having to make any payments upfront besides a small deposit through paypal. The driver picked us up ontime at the airport and help us navigate the terminal to get our baggage quickly and off we went to the hotel. Our tour guide Pauline met us the next morning in our hotel lobby to begin our journey through St. Petersburg. Her english was excellent and her knowledge of Russian history and tidbits were very insightful. From roughly 9am to 6pm, we toured through the metro "everyday people palace" (beautiful and clean) to various palaces, museums, monuments, and castles via private car. The tour was very intimate and provided a vast array of information into the city and it's culture which made it very enjoyable for my wife and I. We saw so much more than we would have by ourselves and fell in love with this European inspired little Venice City. A few times we did some things that were not on the itinerary because we were curious and Pauline went out of her way to show us and offered her advice, such as taking us to a great Russian restaurant and telling us what to order. Pauline was fantastic and her drivers were all professional. It was great having a third person there to take pictures of us because it can be daunting to ask strangers to take pictures for us if we didn't speak the language. It was sad to wave goodbye to Pauline after the fabulous 2 days. With tickets in hand to see the ballet, Swan Lake was on our last night in St.Petersburg..a rightful ending to our memorable trip to Russia. I highly recommend this private tour versus the mass tour group because it was more one-on-one and got to skip most of the lines. Another great thing is all the time saved on not having to stand in line for tickets!!

Ekaterinas service was outstanding right from the beginning - her offer and answers came quickly and indications were precise. This reliability continued throughout our stay, and we very much appreciated this attitude.

The pick-up service ordered for our arrival at the airport was there promptly and conveniently took us to the hotel (to be frank: at least in April, there would have been enough normal taxis available, so private service was just for the comfort of not having to inquire about).

Ekaterina's idea to arrange the trip to Catherine's palace just on the morning before departure from Pulkovo Airport and to end the tour there was just perfect: We thus made very good use of our last day and saved quite some transfer time. - Julja was the perfect guide at Catherine's palace: she knew very well just how much information would be suitable, led us through the building in a way to get past the large groups and didn't neglect the gardens either. Moreover, Julja gave us background about the city and is a wonderful person to have a talk about everyday live.

Being used to travelling on our own, we first were a bit sceptical about booking guided tours and, decided to do so only for specific trips. This clearly paid off at Catherine's palace. To sum up, I am glad to have found Ekaterina's offer via tripadvisor and can only recommend her services. I would certainly use her offer again.

Ekaterina was extremely helpful in the planning of our tours. She accomadated our every need and it was a delight to meet her however briefly at our hotel. We booked two trips. First we went for an afternoon trip to Catherine Palace with Katya as our guide. Catherine Palace in winter was a dream. It was not crowded and we ended up having the Amber Room all tou ourselves. Katya impressed us with an unending array of knowledge about the palace, the history and all the fun details of the people who lived there. She made history fun and exciting. She spoke perfect English, was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. We also took a daytrip to Novgorod where we met our guide Alexandre. Again, Alexandre spoke perfect English, was very informative and professional and above all made the tour fun and exciting. The fact that she braved the -15 degrees for crazy people like us who wanted to see Novgorod in the snow should say it all. We spent the day outside, seeing Yuriev Monestary, the frozen Lake Ilmen, the outdoor museum and Novgorod itself. The whole area is a dream in the winter. No words can describe the beauty.

These two tours were without a doubt the highlight to our trip to Russia. I would highly recommend and would definately rebook on any future trips.

The prompt and fast responses by Ekaterina was much appreciated in finalising the plan for a day trip to Catherine, Alexander and Peterhof palaces. Our tour guide, Katya was professional and knowledgeable, also very informative and interesting and having a guide to take care of the details such as getting tickets and where to queue was part of the pleasant experience. The car and driver provided was also very professional. Overall, a positive experience. While winter is not usually recommended for touring these places, the snow adds to the beauty of the scenery especially for Catherine Palace, Peterhof was unfortunately all completely boarded up (building), I expected the fountains would be boarded but not the building. BUT the crowds are less. This is fully appreciated.

We had a different tour guide each day. Both were very knowledgeable, thorough, courteous and fun. The driver Zhanna also had lots of expertise and personality. Natalia was mature, serious, well organized and clearly interested in our comfort and well being. Dina was also excellent with a great personality and equally knowledgeable. Both were experienced teachers and that background proved excellent for keeping things on track. I highly recommend this experience. I had a little trepidation about going to Russia but I am so glad that I had this wonderful unforgettable experience. The hotel we stayed in ---Sokos Vasilevsky was also excellent--wonderful friendly efficient staff and beautiful but affordable rooms. It was better than any of the hotels we stayed in Helsinki. Our tour guides met us right on time and delivered everything that was promised.
