Description: Tarragon" Restaurant. Sun in any weather. In the heart of St. Peters-burg on the streets Karavannaya reasonableness restaurant "Tarragon". Even going down the stairs of the restaurant, anticipating a warm and cozy atmosphere. And this presentiment did not deceive even a single visitor, "Tarragon". Warm and cozy this place makes every detail: the paintings and vases, jars and baskets, soft light, pleasant staff and delicious Georgian cuisine is not without elements of Europe. And, although the decor calm European, exquisite detail envelop you with tenderness and hospitality Georgia. You will not only be welcomed as a dear guest and close friend, but also feed heartily and warm pleasant conversation. The restaurant's menu will satisfy your every whim, whether it be food on the grill, cold dishes or soups. Here you will find everything from pasta to beef stroganoff, from steak to lamb. Banquet offers a menu composed exclusively for you, and only on the basis of your wishes. A distinctive feature of the kitchen of the restaurant "Tarragon" - a spice that is delivered specifically for the restaurant from Georgia. They give a flavor of not only dishes, but also to penetrate the very feast atmosphere of cordiality and tranquility. Additional bouquet good mood stunning voice of singer Nino. Also on Sundays and Mondays program is a romantic pianist - virtuoso Vladimir Sorokin. Even in the rainy winter days in St. Peters-burg have a really sunny place where you will feel and comfort of home, and a good mood. Only in the restaurant "Tarragon" you will realize that life in any weather can be painted in the colors of summer, sun and heat.

“Smart Georgian restaurant”

A smart, centrally located, Georgian restaurant, serving tasty grilled meats, fresh salads and traditional breads. Pavement terrace in summer. Some English spoken.

“Yes, I like Caucausian Cuisine”

Good experience, great food, higher priced restaurant. Near the center of St. Petersburg, this is a convenient stop while visiting such places as Engineer's Palace.

“"The Taste of Soviet Childhood"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

We visited this delightful little place on our last night in St Petersburg. Most memorably, a heavily- but charmingly-accented waitress, nevertheless fluent in English, talked us through the menu and sold us on several items of Georgian cuisine and a soft-drink that she described, liltingly, as “The taste of Soviet childhood.” The food was good, if a struggle (bones and such), the ambience of our last evening in St Petersburg magical, and all in all, a nice dip into regional/ethnic food from a part of the world of which most Americans have little knowledge.

The Restaurant is situated in the Karavannaja - Street 14, only 200 m East from the Nevsky - Prospekt. Superb food and very attentive, English speaking staff, prices reasonable.

“Georgian meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

We were not excited about the food in St. Petersburg but this small Georgian restaurant was very nice. There was a nice selection of local Georgian dishes and the waitress helped us choose a well rounded dinner.
The wine is expensive and the selection was small. We would recommend this place to others.
