Very impressed. Best hotel I've stayed in lately and I travel a lot.
Really enjoyed it over New Year and Russian Christmas break.
Modern, elegant and cozy place. Friendly, attentive staff. Combination of old architecture and modern solutions.
Nice spacious rooms, modern yet cozy style. Everything works. Great shower/ bathroom.
Good quality and almost invisible housekeeping.
Great variety breakfast in a spacious restaurant.
Beautiful SPA, that adds to the overall atmosphere of relaxation and well-being.

Room Tip: Stayed in a regular room and it was great.

We booked this as an extension of the St Peter Line ferry's package from Helsinki to St. Pete fro three days (Visa free visit by ship). Having been to St. Pete before, this would not be our first choice of hotels or location. So, we were completely surprised and pleased by the hotel, rooms, features, restaurant, spa, and location.

Friendly hotel staff, and in the summer, the walk across the bridge was just fine (except one night when the bridge was up late, and we had to taxi over another bridge).

Room was very comfortable. Spa and pool is great, especially after a day of walking and touring. Others have commented about the breakfast buffet and crazy rush or lack of food. We disagree completely on such comments, as for us, the breakfasts included a wide choice, very attentive staff (almost too quick to clear the table when you got up to go back to the buffet). It was a great way to start the day, and incredible choices of breakfast items, constantly replenished... and good tasting.

We were very pleased and would recommend this to friends and family !

We stayed in this hotel in March 2013. I should say the interior of the rooms was not so special, only thing that impressed us a lot was spa zone with all these saunas, jacuzzi and swimming pools. The style of the hotel in general is really nice and you can get access to spa zone without staying in the hotel.

This hotel is compared high level in quality and there is versatile variety of services. The specialties in Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge are great gym, high level spa included the price, dark restaurant and beautiful atmosphere in well renovated building from 17th century. Minor minus from location, because nearest metro station is approximately 1 km from hotel.

Having stayed for a couple of nights in November 2013, I would recommend the place as reasonably good value for the money (I had one of their corporate rates). The check-in was efficient. My room on the seventh floor was just the right size for a short stay even though the view from the window was unexciting (which did not really matter as it gets dark pretty early in St Petersburg in winter). Bed linen, pillows, duvets were good. You get a couple of free bottles of water, which is an advantage for St Petersburg, where the quality of water varies. The spa was on the same floor, an advantage. If their management reads this, I would thank the breakfast service manager, Natalia Stepanova, for doing a stellar job on a par with the best I have seen in service-conscious, upscale locales in Singapore and HK -- but very rarely in St Petersburg. Well done. The location is a bit far from the metro but if you like to walk, reasonably close to the sites. St Petersburg U is very close, and the army logistics academy is across the street, so you get to see army types in funny uniforms walking there in the morning. Self-driven parking (an underground garage) is expensive by local standards. The hotel is on a one-way street and there us no taxi parking, so leave a bit of extra time for your taxi to get there if you use taxis.

The main attraction of the hotel is the spa, which is truly outstanding. I also very much liked the breakfast, which offers many different choices. Rooms are not very spacious, but well furnished and comfortable. They are much too hot for my taste, and had difficulties adapting to the right temperature. The restaurant and bar are vastly overpriced. Free wifi in the whole hotel.
The hotel is close to the river, but not near the main tourist attractions.

Nicely decorated rooms with good beds. The bath room is nice, however there is a smell from the sink that should have been removd with chlorine. Top spa downsairs is recommended. Good quality breakfast and friendly staff. Short distance to the main attractions in the city. Few restaurants near by, but the hotel will help you with taxi to get to one. The hotel restaurant is ok but not more than that.
