“A best kept secret”

Anna and Alfonse are the best hosts -We travel an hour and a half for this resturant. The food is exceptional, with great authentic sauces, and an exceptional wine list,Each dinner is prepared to order and If you likeTaramisu-this desert is to die for. The staff treats you like you are part of their family and before you leave you are thinking of what to choose the next time you dine here.
This resturant is at the top of my list as I had worked in the restuarant business for 25 yrs and are usually very picky about everything. If you are looking for a place to dine with overnight accomodations, this is the place for you.Close to skiing, shopping, and if you are going into Albany, NY for a show this is just right down the road, easy to get to.
If you have the chance to dine here you will not be disappointed!!!.

“Always a treat”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

This is one of a few of our really great "neighborhood" restaurants. It is our favorite. Ana Maria and Alfonso are the best. The staff is always attentive and friendly to newcomers as well as regulars. Although both the tavern and dining room menus are large and diverse, we more often order one of the specials as they are always a treat.

It's also a nice drive from outside of the area. No matter what direction you're coming from.

“Always a good selection, one of top 3 east of the Hudson”
Reviewed February 13, 2012

Best bet is a reservaion in the dining room. They have a bar fare area that is also very nice, but wife will always appreciate the ambience of old inn style, fireplace and superior service. Family owned and operated they always have excellent staff, friendley, entertaining and attentive.

“Wonderful food, cozy atmosphere”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

Went with a group of friends. Ordered great appetizers especially an excellent calamari and shrimp dish. We chose from all over the menu from pizza to chicken francese but the big winner was a hearty great tasting lasagna.good wine menu, fair beer selection. They would benefit from an after dinner drink and dessert menu instead of recited by the staff. Kind of pricy but worth the drive and the price.
