After 3 years being back in the hometown of my girlfriend, we went to the pilsner bar again. Coming here, this time only for a beer, we had a nice atmosphere again, and enjoyed Czech beer with a small shot of Becherovka. It was a good experience, even though it was not very crowded on a Friday night, yet it was almost empty. We suggest giving it a try.

I enjoyed this place (although I did not pay and did not see the bill). We were a party of six and were well attended to. The food was OK and the beer was great. Clean toilets and good internet.

We visited on a Thursday evening, our Russian friend had book d for us, and had to go in and pay a 1000 R deposit per person for our booking. We arrived to an almost empty place, the most people at one time couldn't have been more that ten. The waitress was very pleasant and pretty, the drinks were good, but the food..... We ordered sausages and the pork knuckle with a salad and skewer of vegetables. The pork was good, but the rest were disappointing. Perhaps if you are young, and in a group and need food to soak up the alcohol it might work, but if you are looking for and enjoyable meal, don't bother.

The restaurant is nice, a lot bigger than I thought it would be with 3 floors and must have over 100 seats. On entry we were greeted and asked where we wanted to sit - it was 7pm on a Saturday night and empty.. We asked if they had an English menu and they didn't so if you are with non Russian speakers it would be difficult to order.
For beer they did have a nice albeit small range - Pilsner Urquell seems to be their main beer and the beer the restaurant is named after and they do serve in different sizes, up to a 1ltr glass if you really want!
For food there is a nice range, especially if you like sausage - they had a sausage platter with lots of different ones to try for about 2,000rur. There were 3 of us and we couldn't get through all the sausages in the platter.
Service was ok, nothing special - it would have been nice if they explained what each of the different sausage was in the platter, but they didn't do anything wrong and food service was quick.
Overall, a decent restaurant with decent service, it is a bit pricey given the location but if you want to try something different then it's a good option. Only real issue is the lack of English.
