Lovely hotel decorated in a traditional ornate style. My room at the front of the hotel facing Tsverskaya was large and very comfortable. Inlaid timber furniture, heavy drapes & upholstery give a luxurious appearance. The vast bed was very comfortable. Great bathroom with huge bath, double basins separate shower room & toilet.

Very good breakfast buffet with a large choice, room service food was good quality and nicely served. I would recommend the O2 bar on the 12th floor, named I think not for a telecoms company but the fact that it’s in the open air. You can drink & dine up there and take in a spectacular view of the city.

This is the 4th Moscow hotel I’ve stayed in and definitely the nicest.

Well perhaps it was not the best day, as it seemed the hotel was very busy with tourists, which somehow made me feeling a bit strange, such a luxury hotel and these groups.
the breakfast , no one to greet you, all table had been dirty and not re set as i finally was seated by a server, he immediately set the table and offered me coffee or tea, as i came back from the buffet, the hostess , i assume, has given me table to someone else.
selection is not bad but also very basic for the upscale 5* hotel. no fresh juice had been offered by the waiter, no freshly prepared egg dishes.
at a price around 45 euros, a bit sad

We had an excellent room at the Ritz with a view of Red Square. We upgraded to the Club Floor - which I highly recommend since adult beverages are so expensive in Moscow. The least expensive glass of wine is $30 US. By upgrading to the Club Floor it pays for itself by enjoying cocktails or wine and appetizers before going out for the evening, not to mention the fantastic breakfast. Also, the Concierge on the Club Floor assisted me with the information emailed to me all in Russian regarding our tickets to the Bolshoi.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 10th floor facing Red Square

This is a newer hotel with the classic Ritz Carlton feel. Because it's newer, it has all the modern accommodations and facilities. Nothing at all to complain about. Loved the O2 lounge on the roof. The nighttime views of Red Square are truly memorable. But go for the drinks, not the food. As tourists, we selected this hotel due to the proximity to Red Square, and it was perfect. Will definitely return.

When in Moscow the Ritz is convenient and comfortable, but it is hard to justify the price for nicely appointed but smallish rooms. The bathrooms were pretty swanky though, and the breakfast, despite the $50 price tag, was excellent.

We really pushed the boat out to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday recently and went to the Ritz for three nights. I had had great correspondence from Anatoly who advised us to go for the Club room. Brilliant. Here we had a separate check in and magnifercent lounge access on the 11th floor. The team there could not have been better. They knew us all by name and greeted us as if we were returning friends. All of us felt special. We timed the arrival just right as Moscow's skies lit up to the fire work celebrations marking 68 years since Fascists were driven out of Russia - and to compliment things we were given a glass of champagne to mark the occasion. I could go on and on about this wonderful hotel, but words do not suffice. Just go there and see for yourselves...

Room Tip: Go for the club rooms. They are a little more expensive but include breakfast and all foods and alc...
