I went to this hotel in July with friends,it was booked by a travel agency and they told us it is a 4 stars luxurious hotel.It is not luxuriou for sure!Poor breakfeast and dinner,old furniture,bad smell(they dont clean the room everyday,only the bathroom),the Ac is bad,only the staff was great.
Just the bed was clean! the receptions can speak english but hardly understand you! they dont have any information about the interesting programs in their city so they cant help you at all! the building was old with awful smells in the corridors. the room was clean but the furnitures like mugs and spoons were dirty! the bath was so old with different problem in its sewage system! finally, the room were not get cleaned every day!
Lobby wide . very bad AC. Towels overused. Dinner & breakfast just right. Need to add varieties. Not reliable for wake up calls. We ordered a taxi from the reception & gave them the address but he took us around without knowing how to drop us at RED SQUARE. So brought us back to hotel & made us pay a lot
Everything is average.
The staffs are really friendly especially the bar tender. Services are satisfactory.
It has currency change room inside the hotel.
Not too busy and the atmosphere is quiet.
But it is not that much modern.
I have taken part in a conference held in this.
The Petrovsky conf. room was very well, the coffee brakes was so so, but the lunch was rather good!
But frankly I prefer use any Marriott for this purpose...
We have been in Several hotels across Russia, never nothing too fancy but this one probably the best and cosier we have been. Having no really high difference range to compare from, we found this hotel with the needed facilities, food was good and fresh. Well located, was clean, not all the staff speaks english but the bell boy is a true surprise, a Medicine Student from Congo, who speaks at least 5 languages, a true help :) which deserved a better job in the hotel rather than bell boy... for sure much more helpful in other sections, specially when is a very presentable young man.
Nevertheless was a peaceful and nice stay at this hotel. Don't expect nothing fancy as it's an old hotel, but things work which is the most important.
