“Certainly a Must See”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Who would skip a visit to the Kremlin whilst in Moscow? But, it's certainly worth the rather expensive entrance fee. You'd be sorry if you tried to save money and skipped this - skip dinner instead! The old churches, the museum - all great.

“Good - but a long queue - and whistle blowers”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

Many would give this 5 stars, and seeing the Fabergé collection was fantastic. However, I seemed to spend ages in the hot sun waiting for my ticket. It is very popular, but it is also some slow moving. The cathedrals are great, and so many in such a small area. Warning - do NOT stepp off the sidewalk - or you will get whistles blown at you until you get back on. The Kremlin is a working area, so government people are driving through the grounds, hence the need to keep off the roads I presume.
Therefore - although I enjoyed it, I could have enjoyed it more if the ticket issues could have streamlined.

“Did not disappoint”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

OK, this was beautiful from the outside. Dumb us, we forgot that it was closed on Thursdays, our only remaining day, so could not go inside to see the Kremlin itself. Schedule yourself appropriately!

“Imposing structure, so very Soviet!”
Reviewed January 11, 2014

It's impressive how this structure has survived for so long, despite the long history of wars that were fought around it.

The side facing Red Square (Opp GUM Dept Store) and the corner around St Basil Cathedral are the most commonly visited areas, however there is also another side which demands attention, which is on the outer side and has the change of guards, which very impressive. You can also see the flame of the fallen soldier as well as monuments marking the dead soldiers from each major city there.

While most people would visit it during the day, during tours of the attractions around the Red Square; I would strongly recommend that one visits this attraction during the night as well to take in sights of the well lid walls and towers that encircle the Kremlin complex.

To rest your tired feet, you may sit down on the benches around the Red Square or on the outer side park area (can't recall the name); and a dash across to the GUM Dept Store is recommended if you wish to use the rest room or grab a coffee on its 3rd floor.

“Must see the bell tower”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Don't leave Moscow without seeing the bell tower. Great for a photo and to hear the bells ring. I was able to hear the bells on New Year's Eve.
