The Pushkin Hotel is wonderfully placed, with a very slow 20 minute walk to Red Square, 15 mins to the Bolshoi and very close to Yeliseevskiy Gastronom and the Main shopping drag as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Contemporary History, Hermitage Gardens and Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. There are 2 Metro stations close by and the streets are safe. Location is therefore excellent and the hotel is exceptional value for money.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, room spacious, the beds are super comfortable and the amenities are good, although if you want to watch tv in English you will have to settle for news and discussion programmes. We ate at the hotel throughout our stay and the food was cheap and excellent in quality. The service was impeccable too. I don't understand why this hotel isn't listed on the Trip Adviser Moscow App....it is really very good indeed.
My primary thanks go to the amazing receptionist who not only seemed to work tirelessly 24/7, but found time independently to organise a card and gift for my partner's 50th birthday. We were overwhelmed by this gesture and thank you unreservedly. This member of staff went above and beyond the call of duty and really enhanced our experience; he also gave us excellent advice, chatted warmly, translated and booked a cheap taxi to the airport for us.
When I return to Moscow I will book the hotel Pushkin without a moment's thought and I would recommend others to do so too - brilliant experience.
