I stayed here for the IAAF World Championships for 10 nights. First of all the hotel is a nightmare to find, no signs on the building and I only found it by asking some workmen doing some building work outside. When I checked in the receptionist told me that he was going to check if my room was ready so I waited in the lobby for a couple of minutes. He showed me to my room which was a room with a bed, with no room whatsoever to put your belongings and a small TV fixed to the wall. The room was filthy! Dust everywhere and there were weird, blood-like, stains on the wallpaper. There is no air-con in the rooms, only in the main lobby, which was advertised on trip advisor. The toilets are very small and one of them had a broken seat which meant everyone was waiting for the one useable toilet. The showers are very temperamental - either scalding hot or freezing cold and nothing in between. The only positive thing is that the location, very close to Kitay Gorod metro station and walking distance to Red Square.
