This is a great hotel located in a palace. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, it is perfectly easy to find. Just go to Dinamo on the green line metro and follow the signs to the park. You cannot miss the palace and all you have to do is walk round the outside of it until you see the hotel entrance.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was big, fantastic and very comfortable. Wifi was free and worked well. Even the hotel lobby was lovely.

One criticism: the restaurant is not so good. It looks very nice, but is over-staffed and empty, probably because the food is average. A word of warning: if you order fish, that's what you will get - a slab of fish. If you want vegetables or salad to go with it, then ask for them, because the staff won't advise you.

Breakfast was good though.

We would definitely stay there again.

That's what I've been told... Interesting historical looking complex, everything is on the ground floor, buildings joint together around a square. Liked it. I thought the lobby was weird and not of the same standard as the room and the breakfast place, it was like one of those typical places you find a lot in moscow where you are not sure if you are in a bar, or a community center. - But it doesn't really matter does it, since I came for the room, which was fine - Nice big bed, quiet, view on said square, and breakfast was great too. Would happily return.

When the cab driver pulled up in front of the hotel we all said "is this it?" It is an actual palace built by the archetic of Catherine the Great. It had only been open for a few months as a hotel. The staff all spoke great English, and probably other languages too. The entire site was first class. The rooms in Russia tend to be on the small side, so when we saw our amazing room we were dumbfounded. It was huge with chandaliers and dark wood and the over the top drapes on the windows made you feel like you were definately in a much more expensive hotel. There is a massive pool and gym in the lower level as well.

The mattress on the queen bed was better than ours at home, the best we have slept on.

The included breakfast was the best we had in Russia. When our arranged guide did not show up the hotel staff arranged another for us in an hour. You can walk five minutes to the subway which in one line will take your right to the main area/ Red Square/ St. Basils etc.

We got an amazing deal on booking.com and would definatley stay here again.
