Owner description: Sparrow Hills is one of the highest points in Moscow and offers a panoramic view of the city. Great place to take a break from sightseeing and enjoy a picnic.

Not easy to get here if you don't have a car, but it opens a great view on Moscow and the Moscow river, located right across Moscow State University, a beautiful scene too.
Needless to say its where many newlyweds stop for traditional pictures.
Although I wouldn't recommend going there if its foggy, you won't see much anyways and its really windy there, so take a sweater or a coat.

Moscow is pretty flat so this is a great place to see over Moscow. It's quite far from the nearest metro stations, either Universitet or Leninskie Gory. If you get off at the former, you need to walk up the steep hill through a nature reserve which is pleasant. Or the walk is flat via the university if coming from Universitet. Probably best to walk via the university to the viewpoint and then down hill to Leninskie Gory.

We went on a tour early in the morning. Our panoramic view was not very clear due to fog. I did enjoy seeing the architecture of the University, the Seven Sisters design.

Went there at night for the view but do noted that to reach this spot, you need to exit the metro while having the luzhniki stadium facing your back to prevent you taking the wrong exit. After you exit the metro, walk straight and turn left to go uphill and exit the park. On ur right there should be a bus stop that let's you take the trolley bus number 7 . Take that and alight after 2 bus stops and you will be there while the magnificent while is infront of you, the Moscow State University is just behind you. Enjoy

While Sparrow Hills overlook offers a panoramic view of central Moscow, there's not much that really stands out. We went there both in the daytime and at night, with the day visit being probably the most time-worthy. Visiting at night, it seems this is a popular spot for young Muscovites to hangout with friends.
