We had a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
I have a bad back and I am never happy with a bed.
They put a pad on it for me and I slept like a baby.
It is close to Red Square.

This hotel is extremely well located and within easy walking distance of most attractions. The view of St Basils and the Kremlin was a feature. The rooms were fairly standard for a hotel of this class--no complaints.

The concierges were helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable so that's a plus when in an unfamiliar city. The restaurant was very pricy for what you got and wine exorbitantly priced although this seems to be common throughout the city. Service in the restaurant was slow (when it was empty--so don't know how it would be when busy) and knowledge of English (which like it or not is largely the common second language for most of the travelling world) was spasmodic amongst the waiting staff with considerable potential for a Fawltyesque outcome.

But overall, the hotel was clean, well located, and with helpful front desk staff. It's not cheap of course but that's par for the course in a city like this. If paying high prices for a 'hotel' meal grates, I'm sure there are other places to eat.

I'd stay again just for the location.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a Kremlin view.

Stayed one night in this hotel at the end of a terrific river cruise from St Petersburg to Moscow. It was magnificent, and our room was beautiful. However, the cost of meals and beverages was very high with one of our group paying AU$18 for a simple cup of tea. We dined just up the road in a very good and reasonably priced facility.
If you are looking for first class then look no further.

Kempinsky is of course a well known luxury chain, and its Moscow hotel does not disappoint: service is very helpful, rooms large and comfortable, and the food in its restaurant and also in the breakfast is excellent.
Two negative points, however, spoil a little the experience. One is that when you ask for a taxi, the doorman calls a "private car company" which charges more than double the normal rate, even when the car is the same quality, and they refuse to call a regular taxi; my advice is to walk one or two blocks to hail a regular taxi in a nearby street. The other is that they charge ridiculous prices for small food items such an espresso or a chocolate bar.
On the whole, and taking into account the high prices, the experience was OK, but not great.

When my family first relocated to Moscow we wound up staying here for a significant amount of time while our apartment was getting worked out.
Every member of the staff, from the front desk, to security was professional, helpful, and went out of their way to be responsive to some of the more specialized needs of a family with small children.
Both of the on site restaurants were excellent and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I went to Moscow for business purpose with a meeting group and stayed at Hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow for four nights . Although the operator of the hotel is Kempinski Group, local people is more familiar with the name "Baltschug Hotel".

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the Red Square and 10 minutes walk to a bar street.

Hotel service is excellent and the employees are friendly. English is not a quite workable language in Moscow, but the hotel employees can speak reasonable good English and are eager to assist you in terms of writing notes in Russia and suggesting nice bars and places of interest.

Restaurant is excellent and busy. The food are in high quality. Although the price is a bit high, it is acceptable having considered that the overall price in Moscow is high.

Rooms are large and have amazing window view (Kremlin or Vasile Assumption Cathedral)

Room Tip: Since the hotel has a very good location, you may choose window view of Vasile Assumption Cathedral...
