One must visit the Diamond Fund, if only to complete the sight seeing of all important attractions of Moscow. I was lucky...while we were walking to the Diamond Fund from the inside road, Putin landed by chopper below, the road got cordoned off and soon he drove by in his convoy! On his way to welcome the Sochi flame.

“Must - visit!!”

A fantastic museum! You see some REALLY Breath - taking stuff there! Those jewels seem to be fake becouse it's hard to believe they're real! You can see the crowns of Russian Tsars...just like from a fairy-tale or something like that

“Serious jewel envy !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2014 via mobile

Amazing jewels to male one jealous ! Only allow certain numbers of people at a time and gove a guided tour in russian whoch sounded interesting but alas my russian not up to scratch after 3 days here ! They do give you pamphlet in english which one gets the impression is mich abbreviated stating things like saphire x no carats whilst the guide spoke for 10-20 mins per case ! Would recommend going with a guide - no audio guide available that way they who could explain more of the history :) in saying that i was more than happy to oggle and imahine myself in a crown of 5000 diamonds !

“Difficult to get in!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

One of the things about Moscow, is that they need tourism as a revenue source, yet do very little to help tourists! It is really difficult to find a guide to the diamond fund and there are different tickets for the Kremlin churches, the Armoury and the Diamond Fund. I tried to get a guide, couldn't find one and gave up, so beware of that. Beautiful jewels though. Good to browse. Be prepared to stand in line. Also note, they only let a certain number of folk in, it's all just a bit hit and miss.

“Independent visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2014

For foreigners it was difficult to get a guided tour to Diamond fund, but it is better to watch than listen inside. They give you an information about the items on paper, so you have an idea of what you are seeing and watching. I wish we could more time to spend there. Recommended!
