“Great rocks!”

Amazing tsarist jewels and massive nuggets from Russian mines! This is much easier to get into than the armoury and they seem to give foreigners preference.

“what a collection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

The Diamond Fund of Russia was opened in the Moscow Kremlin Armory in 1967. It contains a world famous state collection of the symbols of royal power (regalia), outstanding jewellery from the 18th-19th century, rare precious stones, richly decorated imperial orders, the Yakut diamonds of unbelievable sizes and unique platinum and gold nuggets. It's quite dark in there, so watch your step. The most impressive thing I found was the tiaras that they had. So much bling it hurt my eyes a little. Definitely worth a look

“If you like jewels....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

This is a two room exhibit with large natural hunks of gold and the Royal Jewels. The artistry is impressive and the diamonds are prolific. If you like looking at jewels, this will impress you.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

There are three great collections in the world - The Crown Jewels in the Tower of London, the Diamond Fund and the ex Shah of Iran (and where are they, one might ask). The Diamond Fund was fantastic, beautifully displayed with exquisite workmanship and huge stones. Well worth the entry.
