“A sheet delight”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

We purchased our Niculin Circus tickets on line through OperaAndBallet.com. They went far and away above and I would not hesitate to recommend them. They deliver the tickets to your hotel room and they even found us after our tour agency changed our hotel in Moscow unbeknown to us.

The circus was the perfect way to spend our last evening in Moscow. It was a taxi ride of 500 rubles from the Marriot Moscow Paveletskaya Hotel or about $15.00. The tickets were not offered by our travel agency so we went ahead a ordered them in advance through OperaAndBallet.com. Only two others in our tour group went to the circus and we felt we were the smartest people ever!! It was a bit spendy, but worth every penny.

They are deadly about not taking any pictures and there are dedicated women ushers who must have been previoius Soviet Union hotel floor monitors for they were constantly on the aggressive lookout for any camera pointing or screen lighting. They were very intimidating and I would suggest simply buying the program.

The taxi cartel tried to charge triple the rate on the return trip to our hotel and we actually left two cabs before finding an honest driver. We once again paid him 500 ruples plus a nice tip.

We were fortunate to have seen this circus and the memories will always be with us.

“A real Circus!”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Going to this place was a very entertaining activity for a rainy evening in Moscow. It absolutely exceeded my expectations! Ticket prizes vary depending on which level you are but I wasn't in the best place and could really enjoy the spectacle. Some of the things I saw were very impressive and the clowns really made the crowd laugh getting them involved in their performances.

“Very worthwhile”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

The venue is such that all seats are close to the ring. Of course, the pricier ones are the closest but the circus can be enjoyed at any level. The acrobatic acts were especially impressive but there was a little bit of everything. The show lasted about 3 1/2 hours with an intermission. It exceeded our expectations and we recommend it, particularly for those traveling with children.

“Never seen anything to compare!”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

My husband and I went as an optional group tour. Having seen many circuses in our lives not sure if another one would excite us. It did! The clowns really worked the crowd........the dog act was brilliant, tightrope artists - superb bug the elephants were something else! The trainer was just so in control but made it look like they were playful pups instead of huge animals. I've never seen anything to compare with what this animal act did........it was worth going for just that one act.
