expensive entry fee and extra for taking photos it is unlike any cathedral you have ever been in but inside it is very beautiful and impressive. put your normal expecatations of cathderals aside it is more like a museum than a cathedral

“Beautiful”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The exterior of the Cathedral is truly amazing with all it's colorful onion domes but if you go inside you get a whole different perspective of Red Square and if you're really lucky you will hear a quartet of acapella singers. They use the amazing acoustics within the tower of the cathedral to a wonderful advantage.

The history and paintings in this Amazing building. It is a place of peace and quiet. The unfortunate part is that is not a place for anyone handicapped.

“Colorful on the outside”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Old and cramped, fantastic to look at from outside but it was a bit disappointing for me since I was expecting the same grandiose in the inside and shocked to find it pretty simplistic in style. An overall nice cathedral still.
