The Russian capital is the blend of his comunist past that endured wars revolutions and drastic social change during stalin era, today it's a vibrant city full of life (I do highly recomend it to any one) Nice, friendly and beautiful city.

We didn't visit the inside as we were told it was quite dull compared to the inside. It is absolutely beautiful from the outside. Wonderful to look at time and time again. The colours are outstanding.

Sankt Vasili has a great cathedral named after him. I lived in Moscow for several years and walked across Red Square as often as possible, never getting tired of the views. St. Basil's Cathedral is an architectural marvel from the outside, and a great place to take pictures, but on the inside is a little dull. This doesn't spoil it in any way, however, it's just simple, like a church probably should be.

The Cathedral is nicer to see from outside then inside. Exhibits inside are basic, with minimal interest, unless you have a strong interest in icons.

Visiting the Cathedral is a less than an hour visit that will set you back 250 rubles (plus 160 rubles to take pictures!).

Gorgeous, splendid, sublime. This is the heart of Red Square and the icon of its time. Not to be missed.
