“A cobbled square!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

OK, so you want a review of 'Red Square'. it's a cobbled square! Nothing special about it. What makes it 'special' I suppose are the buildings on each side - the museum on one side, Kremlin and Lenin's mausoleum on another, GUM shopping arcade on the other and St. Basil's Cathedral on the fourth! End of! In winter there's an ice-rink in the middle. What made it 'special' for me was the connotations of the old Soviet May Day parades with tanks etc. rumbling through it. Let's face it, you're going to Moscow, you're going to see Red Square. It's just got to be done!

“Beautiful square!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We always wanted to visit Moscow to see Red Square.
Finally we were there. It is beautiful, with great history and buildings on it.
Kremlin, Saint Basil, GUM and State Historical museums are really beautiful sights on Red Square. We were lucky to be guided and hear interesting facts and stories about this place and about Moscow. Recommended!!!

“Must Visit”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

If in Moscow, you have to visit the red square. It helps that you have plenty to see around and that Red Square can be made central to that plan.

its one of the things that if you don't visit you would feel that you haven't visited Moscow.

“Heart of Moscow”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

You can't really come to Moscow and not go and see the Red Square. I came in November, and found it quiet and humbling to walk around. Plenty to see and do nearby as well - well worth spending an hour or so to see everything - and remember to come back at night when the area is lit up, well worth the return trip.
