I appreciated everything: the best museum in Moscow. The Tretyakov in the Muzeon Park is a must thanks to the great collection of contemporary art.

“Wide collection of pre-20th century art”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Has some classic, well known masterpieces of Russian painting and a collection of large icons. Not for those who prefer more modern or 20th century art. The building and facilities should be upgraded.

“Amazing Gallery!”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

This is such an amazing place to enjoy Russian Art from the eleventh till twenieth century . It is located approximatley 15 minutes walk from the Red Square or if you are not familiar with the city, you can get there with the red sightseeing bus, they have a main stop 5 minutes walk from the Gallery. There are beautiful paintings of Nesterov, Serov, and so many other painters, . with lots of benches to sit on to admire them. In another floor you will appreciate many delicate and wonderful icons and other religious objects. It is open from Tuesday to Sundays from 10:30 to 19:30 . The entrance costs 6€ approx. with a discount for chlidren. Audio guide with extra cost ( 4€ aprox.). There are two different book shops where you can get (besides post cardas, souvenirs etc.) incredible colector stamps. Facilities for disabled people and lockers.
