Wonderful hotel! The breakfast was great and it included almost everything you can imagine. Three restaurants for dinner, one of which offered the best sushi ever! Friendly employees too. I got sick while in Moscow and to my surprise the hotel had an RN on staff, who gave me immediately medication. Free of charge by the way. Also the hotel provides free international calls (really...). Best hotel I have ever stayed!

This is a cold war era hotel in Moscow. The rooms are large with fairly small bathrooms, all the decorations are very dated. The room was very clean and had everything required including free international telephone calls. This hotel is huge with many restaurants. The majority of which are Asian. There is a casino and nightclub in the hotel. There is a metro station within walking distance.

The only con i really had of the hotel involves the location. It's not centrally located within the city, but it does offer great city views. The walk to the nearest metro stop is downhill through a park but it isn't safe at night. During the day is fine.

The hotel itself was clean, had a friendly and English-speaking staff, and plenty of food options. The italian restaurant on the ground floor was moderately priced and the food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was great including a wonderful array of fresh fruit and mimosas!

All in all, I would stay at the property again.

Room Tip: Ask for a city view on one of the higher floors far from the centrally located elevators.

My wife and I recently spend 5 wonderful nights at the Korston. The room was nice and the breakfast excellent. Even though it is outside of the city the metro is a nice 15 minute walk through a nice park. Even though not all service people spoke English the service was excellent. My wife had a small medical problem during our stay. The Korston has a small medial clinic where the doctor went out of her way to help my wife at no charge. The hotel lobby was very colorful and an interesting place to enjoy a nightcap. The hotel has a nice Korean restaurant on the bottom floor which we really enjoyed.

After reading some of the reviews I was sceptical about the hotel. But I have to say the rooms are very nice, newly refurbished. The staff is friendly. Breakfast buffet had everything you would usually eat for breakfast from selection of cheeses, pastry, fruits and so on. There are few negatives like the location being not central and there are a lot of outside guests who visit the clubs and restaurants on the ground floor. All in all a positive stay.

Arriving at the hotel in the early hours of the morning (around 3 a.m.) we were amazed to see the facade, which looked more like a Las Vegas casino than a hotel. On entering, waived past the security scanners, we 'ran the gauntlet' through the ladies of the night at the bars and the sheesha smoking clients, to the more sedate Korston Hotel reception. The gentlemen on reception were lovely, helpful and English speaking which was a great help. The female staff on reception were just the opposite, as they were in the Galiano restaurant a few nights later. Ignorant, ill-mannered and unhelpful. you'd better not be hungry late on when this is the only restaurant open because they have no interest in giving you a service.
The breakfast was lovely and with the opportunity to have cold or hot buffet, fresh fruits and cereals as well as a variety of fish, cold meats alongside Danish pastries and a variety of breads, the addition of bottled water and Russian Champagne, at no extra charge, was a delight. How anyone could complain about this I do not know. Breakfast was from 7.30 - 17.00, which suited us as we needed rest rather than having to jump up before 9.30 in order to eat, which is so common in other hotels.
Our room was a good size with a clean and functional, if small bathroom and FREE PHONECALLS WORLDWIDE! We did miss the coffee making facilities and biscuits however. Had I known about the fabulous view over the other side of the landing I would have requested this but overlooking the forest was as much a delight and I learned to enjoy this. We could view the city from many other places in the hotel.
Walking to the metro was lovely, through the forest and just a nice stroll along the river to the famous Gorky Park, which we enjoyed at midnight, watching the entertainment on the riverbank, of young people dancing to music and enjoying each others company.
Taxi to and from the airport is possible for 39 euros, if booked online and paid in cash or 2290 rubles if paid by credit card, so it's worth arranging this prior to setting off. the metro is 28 rubles to anywhere you like and these run every 3 minutes.
The hotel was overall great but the drinks there are very expensive and you would be advised to find a local bar (if you can) and enjoy the local beers and people. The evening company in the hotel is not the greatest as it is dominated by ganbling and the mens club upstairs. everywhere there are 'ladies' going in and out of various places in the run up to the hotel, however, the hotel itself seems devoid of these. Pity they built that ugly bit on the front but I'm sure it serves a financial purpose.

Room Tip: Ask for the view over the city or over the forest, to suit yourself. Both are great but the rooms s...
