This property continues to deliver consistent service and value as an upscale property in Moscow. It is hard to fault anything. Breakfast, although pricey if you have to pay separately, is simply superior. The rest of the eating options, even though each threatening to break the bank, are top notch.

Actually this was the best hotel I've ever seen. It is one of 7 famous moscow buildings which built in the 50s with desirable architecture, luxury furniture, delicious breakfast and good service. I think it's staff should be more kind for such a great hotel; although they do what you need, smile face is absent. Of course I know it's Russia, but this is an international hotel.

Do not miss 1 drink at the Mercedes Bar for a Moscow Mule. The drinks are about $20 a piece but it's a fantastic $20 spent. Bar is very secluded and would be hard to find without asking for help. While there, take a look at the diorama of Moscow in the back of the main lobby.

Room Tip: I did not stay at the hotel. Drinks only

After a 4 night stay at St. Petersburg we stayed for 3 nights at this hotel.
Built by the direct orders of Stalin, a classic Soviet style skyscraper, completely renovated.
An enormous lobby welcomes the guests with a Rolls Royce dealer situated there projecting the sense of grandiosity. Besides the reception is a wonderful Moscow Diorama, built on 1:75 scale it gives you a full perspective of the Red Square. Anyone planning to visit this famous site should take a glance at this masterpiece of art which gives you a 3D perspective and interesting facts about the monuments situated in the square.
The rooms although on a high class level and filled with all sorts of amenities, lacked a hair dryer and the rooms had central heating system with a control console but the temperature was not adjustable from inside the rooms. Although these are not deal breakers they undermine a 5 star hotel status.
The breakfast was perfect, one of the best with a wide arrange of buffets. The concierge and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. I do understand that being situated besides numerous embassies and administrative buildings puts a high responsibility on the security forces but perhaps a less conspicuous presence would give a friendlier atmosphere to the hotel. Although the hotel is understandably expensive but there is a nearby metro station and restaurants with reasonable prices next to the hotel.
If you plan for a memorable stay in Moscow, visiting this hotel is a must.

Stayed here for two nights whilst working on a client site in Moscow.

If all of your images of Moscow and Novy-Rossiya are based on ostentatiousness and bling and you want your prejudices confirmed, this is the place to stay. The place is inordinately well-appointed in one of Stalins' "wedding cake" buildings.

At €500 a night, I'm confident that the people who stay here on their own dime must be reasonably well heeled!

Amazing hotel of excellent quality both in the rooms and the public areas. Slightly expensive but as all good hotels in Moscow cost money the Radisson Royal is not extreme and you do get great quality of rooms and service. Bar on the top floor also has fantastic views both during the day and at night and is worth a visit. You can also book boat cruises on the river that are run by the hotel and these are a great way to see Moscow.

Room Tip: Use the Radisson website to book the room and try for a superior room, this may be offered to you as...
