Helpful staff, good quality of rooms with adequate bar and restraint facilities. It is what the big chains do well and I have difficulty in finding faults..
As with any hotels in Moscow you need to factor in the traffic to get from the hotel to wherever you want to visit. Value for money wise Moscow hotel prices are out of step with other leading cities and this hotel is no exception.

Room Tip: High floors are generally better and there are a number of corner rooms that are much larger than th...

Dear VasudhaDoshi,
Thank you for recommending our hotel. We are pleased to know you enjoyed staying with us. There are two subway stations near the hotel, both of which can bring you to Red Square in about 15 minutes, as you stated. However, next time you are here, feel free to try our Free Shuttle Bus service, which takes guests from the hotel – directly to Red Square and back. We look forward to hosting you again.

Thinking of Moscow brings back warm memories especially because of our 3 day stay at the Renaissance Moscow Olympic hotel which belongs to the Marriott group of hotels. TAhe hotel arranged for our pickup from the airport or train station, for a price of course. Initially there was a bit of a mix-up because the chauffeur was waiting at the car park while we were waiting at the train station, since we had taken the Nevsky Express from St Petersburg to Moscow, but the concierge at the hotel sorted things out and we didn't have to pay extra for the delay.
We were given a room on the 12th floor which had a private lounge that included breakfast, dinner and also snacks and juices that were freely available till midnight. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable with TV and a fridge with a mini We didn't need to use the minibar since snacks and drinks were available for free in the lounge. The bathroom had a bathtub with decent toiletries, hairdryer etc. We also had free accress to the gymnasium, sauna and the swimming pool.
The hotel is not too close to the main tourist spots but we used the shuttle bus service to see the Red Square. Taxis are expensive and cost even ore if you book it through the hotel but it is a safer option, especially if you don't know the language, or have a local friend.
The hotel is a little expensive but worth it because of the efficient staff and friendly service. If we ever go back to Moscow I'd definitely love to stay at the Renaissance again.

Stayed for a residential conference during the athletics meet at Moscow.
The hotel is big and majestic and well lighted during the evenings. As name suggests , u find pics on the walls and corridors of games and sports!
It has multiple meeting halls and caters to meetings nicely
Breakfast is well elaborate and good american spread.
Rooms are a little smaller in size but comfortable .
Room service is prompt.
Bathroom is well laid out small in size but convenient .
Traffic in Moscow is bad, location of hotel is ok.
It has a bar and well equipped restaurants inside.
Wifi should be provided at cheaper rates in the rooms, as of now common areas have free wifi.

The hotel was originally built to house athletes for the Moscow Summer Olympics. It has since been renovated and is part of the elite Renaissance line. It is everything you would hope for in a modern Western hotel. A bit pricey, as it caters to Western businessmen. But if you want comfort and security in Moscow, this is the place for you.

It is very close to the Metro "Prospekt Mir" station, from which you can get anywhere in the city.

Dear KW_Taveler,

Thank you very much for this great review. Our Hotel does indeed have a lot of connections to the Olympics. Here is another interesting fact: on July 3rd, 2004 The Olympic Flame was carried through Moscow and for three days the city was lit by the famous burning torch - the main Olympic symbol. The honor of hosting the Olympic Flame was bestowed on our Hotel. Today, as a memorial to the presence of the Olympic Flame - the torch that was carried in the Relay is displayed in our Olympic Health Club. As a tribute to the Hotel’s rich history and unique location next to the Olympic Stadium, in April of 2012 the Hotel was renamed to “Renaissance Moscow Olympic Hotel”.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to hosting you again.

Rooms are nice, but the wifi in room is not complimentary, even when u have a member rewards card. Bathroom is nice, but doesn't correspond to a 5star rating hotel, my bath and towels were not clean. U can find some very old features in rooms, but in overall it s nice. Bed is comfortable and that s what counts. The location of the hotel is good, cca 15 minutes from the red square. The hotel shuttle bus will take u directly to the city centre, the Red Square. Receptionists are very nice and speak good english. Breakfast are good, but not excellent.

Large building from soviet time but totally renovated, large lobby with bar , was staying at club floor , good room large bed nicely decorated. breakfast was include and offer some good choices but not as much as the "normal" restaurant downstairs. But overall was very good , staff is excellent and speak good English , some nice restaurants around.
