“Good business class hotel in OK location”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

There are plusses and minuses to this hotel - listed below, but overall it's pretty good for Moscow, just not the most convenient location.
Plus points:
1) Comfortable beds
2) Very good Club Lounge (comfort and food)
3) Very good gym and pool/sauna
4) Good choice of bars/restaurants in the hotel itself
5) Spacious public areas
6) Very helpful staff
Minus points
a) Rooms feel cramped with oversized furniture in small space
b) 10 mins walk from nearest Metro (Prospekt Mira) - Shuttle bus to city centre helps
c) Little in the immediate vicinity (new branch of Ragout restaurant is a welcome addition)
d) Hotel can feel a little impersonal - used for conferences/business etc

Dear PJT99,

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. While it is true that the hotel does not have the most central location, we try our best to make up for this by offering the shuttle bus that takes guests to the city center. The area surrounding the hotel is quickly developing now and as you noticed more and more restaurants like Ragout are opening here. Our Guest Relations Ambassador at the front desk has a brochure, which is updated on a bi-weekly basis and features local recommendations for dining, going out and sight-seeing. Perhaps next time we can help you to better discover the area or help find exactly what you are looking for. We look forward to seeing you again.

The price is expensive but then again so are all Moscow hotels (worth using). Hotel is clean and very well presented. The room was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. However the room was not very big and the bath is not full length - funcion of small room. Wi fi is an expensive pay option in the room. (See comments on club rooms below). Breakfast food was good but allow travel time to get to the restaurant (!). There is a pleasant bar. I had a bar meal one evening. Portion size was very generous, But don't like having to share with smokers and bar is not so big as to be able to segregate the smell.

Room Tip: If you want to eat breaksfast and use wi fi upgrade to the club rooms. The extra club cost is approx...

Dear LeylandAtlantean,

Unfortunately we cannot make the bar and other areas fully non-smoking, due to the culture and high-demand for smoking-permitted areas. Though we have been designating more and more areas for smoking only and by doing so making the two more separate and segregated. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback.

Amazing hotel with great features. The hotel is conveniently located, plus it operates a shuttle to red square. The rooms has all amenities you will need, plus have a really nice pool and gym. Food is great in all their restaurant but if you want to be spoiled pay a bit for the upgrade for the club rooms, it is truly one of the best lounge experience. Service is prompt and carrying, while breakfast and cocktail hour serves all needs with a wide selection of hot and cold food. Also club rooms receive Bulgari amenities helping turning your bathroom into a private spa.

Room Tip: Go for the club room, real indulgence

We stayed here for two nights in July 2012 on family business, mainly due to its close proximity to the Irish embassy.
Pro : vast 5 sar hotel with everything you imagine should be in such a hotel. Great and tasty breakfast buffet. Decent business center, free wifi in lobby, very pleasant staff from checkin through valet through service. Food was great. Nice park next door to the hotel.
Con: in moscow ... Expensive (although we got a very good deal on the room as part of a special package), particularly the inroom dining. Can be more timeconsuming than one imagines to get to the hotel. Took us 90-75 mins from Domodevedo. Room was kingsize bed but quite small (although magnificently comfortable)
Overall : a great hotel, a haven and if you can get a deal well worth it.

Dear blucey,

Thanks for this detailed review. We really appreciate it!
In the future, we recommend taking the Aeroexpress train. This is a modern train that is available to and from every airport in Moscow. It brings you to the city’s central subway stations and from there it is easy to get a cab or continue via subway.

Unexpectedly we were upgraded to a Club floor room that was very pleasant. The view from the 12th floor is fantastic! Room is quite spacious, very modern and clean. All amenities are well-maintained. They have Bulgary cosmetics in the bathroom.
Unfortunately we have not managed to use the Spa-zone but our friends strongly recommended it.
Front desk staff was very friendly and recommended us a very good pub nearby with live music and great food.
Breakfast was of very high quality with exotic fruits and wide selection of cold cuts. The only disappointment was waiters who don't greet and notice guests and a strange manager or supervisor who asked us to pay cash in a very unfriendly manner.

This hotel is not bad, a bit far from the center, but hotel shuttle makes it easy to get there. Very good breakfast and sport area. I was pretty satisfied with it. Room were nice and clean, with large plasma and clean and nice bathroom. Good service. Restaurant and bar inside the hotel with wifi are also very nice to stay for a drink. Rates are high though, but its typical for Moscow.
