“A very good location.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

The hotel was very good. The rooms were large and the bathroom very good. What you would expect from a five star hotel. The staff were polite and very helpful. Most were able to speak some English as our Russian was non-existent. The breakfast was included in our price. This was exceptionally good and varied. The hotel is located within twenty minutes walking distance of Red Square and the Metro was close by. Local restaurants were numerous and gave a flavour of the real Russia. Prices were reasonable. The Marriott could have been anywhere in the world. The drink and restaurant prices were what you would expect from such a city centre hotel especially from an American chain- expensive. Whilst we were in Moscow it was hot every day.The swimming pool was never full and was an ideal place to relax after a long day and cool off.

This hotel had very large rooms even by American standards. Rooms were nicely furnished with lots of towels and hot water. AC worked great!!
Good breakfast and friendly staff who spoke English.
Easy walk to Red Square and the Kremlin.
Excellent stay here.

I am staying here for a week and it is in a good location and is close to a metro starion. All the staff speak good English and are very helpful. Our room - my husband is here for two weeks and they upgraded the room when I arrived - is large and clean. Furniture a bit outdated but I think that's the style they are going for.

The breakfast is really great with a huge range of foods to choose from. I am lactose intolerant and they have soy milk available which I've never seen in a hotel before. I had a hard time finding postcards here but there is a gift shop located on floor -1 which sells postcards and stamps.

The hotel is decent, with very good structure. Old American style decoration with lots of 'gold'... Rooms are big, but the bed is small and not comfortable at all... bathrooms are ok. Gym is very good!! Restaurants are horrible looking and sometimes the service edged between unpolite and rude... If possible, chose the Executive Club room with access to the lounge - good place to relax after a long day! You can also order the room service at the lounge...

This hotel has quite lovely rooms with good bathroom amenities. The furniture is a little bit dated but still very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. It is quite well located on Moscow's main Verskaya Street about a twenty minute walk to Red Square. The only complaint is that the elevators are a little small when large crowds need to use an elevator at the same time and most of the staff speaks very little English except at the reservation and concierge desks. Overall though this would be a good choice of a hotel when you are in Moscow.

The hotel is an upscale Marriott in a good location only a 30 minute walk to Red Square. Café Pushkin is a 10 min walk and there is a well-stocked food market in the next block. (Down an escalator). If you walk another 10 minutes under the second underpass you will reach a market with stunning décor, chandeliers and assorted Russian candies. Reasonable in price and a great gift to bring home. The hotel is everything I expected. A wonderful lobby with plenty of seating. WIFI is free in the common areas of the hotel. Enjoy a drink in the bar before dinner but expect to pay $15.00 for tea. The Hotel staff was extremely accommodating and ready to assist. Comfy bed, plenty of Towels and face cloths. A magnifying mirror was a great feature. Everything I needed for my stay. Be careful not to slip when showering in the European style bath tube. My only complaints were the prices in the spa. $175.00 for a pedicure, (ouch) had to pass on this luxury. Moscow is a wonderful city to explore although you will not find warm and fuzzy the experience of visiting Red square walking the grounds of the Kremlin touring the Armory (OMG). The carriage collection so many gowns, jewels and history will leave you wanting more. Restaurants are plentiful but expensive. Museums open at 10:00AM but times are not always accurate in the guide books.so check before visiting. The art and design in the subway was incredible so save room for this experience. Moscow is definitely worth a visit.

I stay at this hotel when I am on business in Moscow because it is near where I need to work.

What I like about the hotel:
1. Staff is very pleasant; all I have met speak Russian and English, and sometimes other languages.
2. Breakfast buffet is good, but expensive.
3. Fairly well situated: within the first motorway ring around Moscow, at the 11:00 position, near a metro stop.
4. Rooms are decent.

What I do not like about this hotel:
1. Food and beverages are very expensive, and the quality is just average.
2. WiFi is expensive (in many urban hotels in Europe, it is free -- but not in Moscow!)
3. Rooms could use a makeover.

Tips:
1. There is a Starbuck's coffee house in the next block (about 50m away!) and you can use WiFi there for free (and get a typical Starbuck's beverage if you like!).
2. There is a restaurant with a beer garden within walking distance of hotel -- ask at reception!

Room Tip: Higher up rooms are quieter (even third floor rooms overlook a terrace of the hotel used for events...
