Description: What should be a genuine Georgian restaurant? We hope that you'll find the answer in the Saperavi. Ajapsandali and gebjalia, pkhali and pelamushi are cooked according to ancient Mingrelian recipes and in proper utensil. But the owners afforded themselves liberties in the interior such as walls with the hand-painted vine leaves and old photos as wallpapers. You may run in for a quick lunch , arrange a celebratory dinner in keeping with the best traditions of Georgian feast, or come with children on a weekend - we are always glad to see You!

“Posh place that refused to serve us because we were not well dressed.”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

We ordered only couple of beers and no food and after 15 min waiting, the waitress came to say that they don't have any beer.
We then left the place, but thought the window we could see the other tables drinking the same beer we tried to order.

“Excellent food but bring your own wine”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

The food is outstanding. We had a variety of different dishes and they were consistently excellent. You can walk in but it's probably best to call ahead. They serve beer, but we had hoped for Georgian wine and discovered that they allow you to bring your own as they don't have a license for liquor or wine.

“nice place for dinner with friends”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

I leave nearby, so Saperavi is one of my first choices for a casual dinner with my husband or brunch with friends. Hachapuri is absolutely delicious. Tsinandali white wine is always good (I even know people who return here for that). I would say that some portions are too small (for example, atsetsili, baked eggplants) but in general it is a cozy place with value for money. And they are pet-friendly, which is important to me!

“if you are vegetarian and to meet with friends who are non vegetarian”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Great place to eat if you are vegetarian and to meet with friends who are non vegetarian . Amazing vegetarian choices in this Georgian restaurant in the center of Moscow: aubergine slices stuffed with hazelnut, spice and herbs, pancakes from young cheese and herbs, layer cake from cheese suluguni, soft red "lobio" beans served with spicy cabbage, mushrooms baked with tarragon and walnuts, baked pumpkin cream soup with pumpkin seeds, pickled grapes, grilled tomatoes, asparagus and smoked cheese.

Sauces just to mention those we tried: plum, pomegranate, sour milk, blackberry, spicy red and green chili. Deserts we tried, all superb; cherry soup, Caucasian yogurt with different home made jams, sweet risotto with dried fruits, honey cake, pancakes with feijoa and apple pie. There are also non-vegetarian dishes which our friends liked.
