“Clean but too many problems”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Hot water is not exactly a luxury, so when there wasn't any one morning I complained. Lots of excuses, but at the price you pay, that's not good enough. And asking for another bottle of water for a 4 night stay was like pulling teeth. The lobby is tiny as was usually packed. It's a cheesy, overpriced hotel that's only convenient for taking the train to the airport. At least the rooms were clean and sensibly designed, though you could smell cigarette smoke through the ventilation system. And then there was the little matter of my ruble coins disappearing every day. When I mentioned to the the front desk, they suggested that the cleaning lady thought I was leaving a tip -- ok, but every day? What's more, my colleague had a room facing the back of the hotel, but said that she was kept awake every night by the announcement coming from the train station, something I didn't experience.

Stayed here for 6 nights in September
The hotel is centrally located close to Paveletskaya Station and the metro. It is convenient for getting around the city and there are lots of cafes and restaurants in the close vicinity.
The staff are friendly and helpful and there really were no issues.
The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The only negative factor is apart from the first night no complementary water was provided.
There is a small gym which is ok but not great.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and if the price was right would stay again.

The hotel surprised me with the huge room. It is very spacious, everything is clean, since it is a brand new branch. You have iron, ironing desk, tea pot, safe in your room. I liked the breakfast and the service very much. The staff were polite and helpful. We had a special rate and it was a good value for money. The location is central and the metro station is just around the corner. I recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed. I could not find any faults.

Brought a group to Moscow for an MBA field trip, have been a regular visitor to Moscow over the past few years, very impressed by this new hotel for value, cleanliness, safety, facilities, staff and rooms. Would definitely go back for our next visit.

I stayed here for 4 nights recently while part of a tour group. I was very happy with my huge room, the excellent breakfast provided & the delightful young staff members who could not have been more helpful. I wanted to visit Bunker 42, which none of them had ever heard of, but Danil promised to find out where it was & when there would be an English speaking tour. Sure enough, when I arrived back at the hotel later that afternoon he had all the information I needed & I was able to book a tour for the following day. Normally, I prefer to stay at smaller family run hotels, for the more personal service & attention, but did not have that option on this trip; however I was extremely impressed with Courtyard Marriott & have no hesitation in recommending this particular hotel. It was a welcome surprise to discover coffee/teamaking facilities AND a fridge in the room & the adjacent bakery has a wonderful range of pastries, both sweet & savoury. Several members of the tour group also recommended the steak house but I didn't try it myself.
Although the area was a very busy one I did not feel unsafe there. I did not venture out alone at night, but would suggest solo woman travellers exercise the usual care required in any large city to ensure personal safety.

a litte bit out of the way but very close to the Metro and found was easy to get to most places. Rooms were large and comfortable. we were in a tour group and we arrived late at night and restaurant was closing in 10 minutes. friend ordered food we ordered drinks and found it very, very expensive. breakfast was good, they would make eggs to order which was great. we didn't eat there but went to a restaurant two minutes walk away which was excellent. non licenced but waitress was good enough to take us to a mini market where we bought a reasonable bottle for next to nothing.

A great business hotel, close to the Paveletskaya station. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom is also nice and clean. The fridge is not stocked but coffee/tea services are provided. A 24/7 pantry is available next to the reception though where you can get the drinks and snacks to your liking. Internet access is free.

The bistro serving breakfast is great although I'm not too fond of the high pressure method used to earn tips on the bill before you're even allowed to in the breakfast area, since you don't get to tip the server - thus defeating the tipping system. The other problem experienced in the breakfast area is that the egg omelet can be ordered from the kitchen, but no one is willng to take the order.

For dinner, I've enjoyed meals at the nearby Toppo Grill as they have an English menu but after the third night of grills, steaks and sandwiches, it was time to head for home. Meals were great though!
