Tipo Hotel Moscow is an economy hotel for those short stay in Moscow. Near metro station and within 10 minutes on the Red Square in the center. The service is good, the staff friendly and the breakfast good.
The rooms are adequate for overnight, only the front rooms are located on a busy road, Prospekt Mira. There is a difference in smoking and non smoking rooms. Price-quality ratio is excellent.

Very comfortable room at a good price. The room is basic but functional and is very clean. Only 5 minutes from the Metro station it was an ideal location for me

what makes the difference between ok hotel and a good one:
good one always tries to be better.

hotel was the one i expected: clean, convenient, with some surprised features like free international calls (you ever heard??)..

the only thing: no elevator! difficult if you have luggage.
please make an elevator.

The hotel is located on half a floor in a giant building that used to print newspapers. The entrance is barely noticable and on the back of the building, although there are signs in the front of the building. The room was big but that was the only upside.

First of all, the big room is coated with tiny and cheap furniture. Although around 30-35 sqm, the closet doesn't have enough room for more than 4 suits. Everything in this hotel is new. There are four basic reasons for not staying here again:

1. Pillows
The beds are comfortable, but the pillow is more of a beer barrel than a pillow. 25-30 cm (10 inches) high and hard as a stone. I asked for another one, they didn't have it. I had to rip open the pillow and remove half of the content. Then the pillow was lumpy but didn't have the beer barrel feel.

2. Breakfast
It was inedible. They couldn't fry an egg, and you have three inedible menu choices but can't mix them. So if you want an egg and espresso, it's not possible. You have to drink it with tea. My Russian colleague confirmed that it tasted dog droppings. All of it.

3. New but non-functional
My colleague was locked in the toilet when the new door refused to open. He had to wait one hour when they tried to fix it and finally blasted it open. We got another room, but never closed the door to the toilet again.

4. Ironing
No iron board in a 4 star hotel? No worries, there's an ironing service. The only problem is it's only available 10:00-15:00. During these times, normal business people are doing business! No ironed shirts for our business meetings then.

This is a nice try, but I seriously recommends the owner tries to sleep one night here, including breakfast.
